Lot of things pays off a lot these days. Sure I figured how to bypass parts of me that is being a problem.
But that doesn't mean to simply put my guard down and become complacent eh?

I'm so committed to whatever process I'm doing now. Everything else is more of a means, a time passer, a 'space' to wander about it seems.
The income and whatever is being provided for me is just a bonus -- anyone could've complained about whatever I deemed as 'bonus' though.

Now, how to be a parent to myself... Without exerting much willpower.
This is sort of like how I dealt with my sensory issues without to resort to tolerance past it's threshold, by learning how to take it as is -- except, it's beyond sensory.

I was following you until the being a parent to yourself part.

Why would you want to be a parent to yourself?

It's the closest term I got that sums up self-discipline, without certain associations that comes to mind growing up that I've yet to be truly clear off and resolve.

If I say self-discipline in 'my own terms': it ends up involving consuming a lot of willpower and neigh vulnerability to burnout, while doing self-awareness wrong or awkwardly.

I'd have understood self-disicpline.

It was just the parent thing that threw me, I get what you meant now.

there is a stand-alone 12-step group called adult children of alcoholics. members generally weren't parented well. one of their sayings is that the solution is to become your own parent. it means to learn to generate your own approval, likes and dislikes, and standards.

Thanks for nothing, control freak and your stupid redneck husband.

i wish that hadn't happened. otherwise, how was your day?

I didn’t see the horrible co-supervisor I have a twelve year long hatred for today; I honestly wish she would get fired. Not seeing her helps my stress level. I did feel anxious at the college campus, though.

what did you do on campus?

I went to get an updated student ID as well as a parking permit. I saw a lot of pretty young girls but I’ve given up trying to approach them but it still reminds me of my singlehood as well as getting older.

what is your field of study? (i was on campus today to get some contacts that might help me do some nursing research.)

I don’t really have one. I was never told about majors, just “go to college” as well as have faith in “God’s plan”.

I hate everyone who has called me a “complainer” but it was ok for them to “complain”. One of them also shamed me for feeling exploited when someone aggressively made me give them money.

what are you interested in? what work would you like to be doing after college?

My future looks so bleak that I honestly don’t have any interests or ideas of what I want to do. I don’t even know if I will complete college. If I don’t kill myself, I will probably lose my mind from the stress I go through.

The detractor who shamed me also lied to me that I have life options. She doesn’t wish me well but I don’t wish her well either.

Sunday is really important cos I want some of these smug gits who are in favour of ruining the country to be upset. I hope we beat them on the pitch. Also they are hypocritical and still in favour of the monarchy even given all this prince Andrew creepy stuff.

I don't think they exist. They're probably the same as humans.

there positively MUST be a greater race than us. if they're no better than us, the universe is doomed.
