I was a big fan for about three years until the 5th book came out in 2003. I was getting tired of all the abuse and betrayal that Harry suffered. I was hoping that J.K. Rowling would make the story better when the 5th book came out, but instead, she took what I hated about the franchise and took it to a whole new level. That was it for me. Since then, I have hated Harry Potter.

What suffering are you talking about?

I think most of the British writers have suffering in their books and JK Rowling said the suffering she was writing about was something from her own life...

In addition to Voldemort, Harry has to suffer living with abusive prejudicial relatives, friends and classmates who only seem too eager to turn against him and mock him, and a corrupt government that wastes an entire year making Harry look like a liar about Voldemort's return only to admit it later on.

J.K. Rowling overdid it.

Yes, but if it was accepted by public immediately that voldy had returned it would have been too good to believe... Or maybe because I grew up reading british literature I am just used to it..

But why did the ministry have to waste all that time and effort to make Harry look like a lair? And for what? They accomplished nothing from all that! I really hated that! :x

I've spent the whole of today thinking it was Thursday, only to be told by my mother that it's actually Wednesday.
I might sleep all day tomorrow in celebration.

From what I have inferred I think the ministry didn't want the public knowing that voldy was at large because it was their duty to stop voldemort's killing...

Well, they certainly failed in doing that! They clearly didn't want to face and handle the problem! All they did was give Voldemort a big head start!

Harry Potter is massively over-rated. I say this as an ex Children's bookseller.
