Well, I forgot to put that my ex was there and he is almost 70 years old. I think it means my acceptance that we are no longer in our 20s. That we are elderly.

this one, from june 12-

I dreamt I was married to a beautiful person, and we were walking along the beach of the ocean shore, holding hands while the wind blew our respective hair about and the seagulls were squawking and the salt sea spray was blowing all about, it was so real. then we were in the supermarket and shopping together, and happy together as can be. :)
I WANT MORE OF THESE!! ! :bounce:
[IOW I seem to be getting a nice dream like this once every blue moon or so, at best]

That is so beautiful. I don't remember most of my dreams so it seems like quite a few are fairly pleasant. Most are just meh.

You are so prolific, your pleasant dreams must be just a small percentage of your dream output.

Have you ever tried writing? You seem very creative. Also, your memoir would probably be insightful and right for these times.

Maybe, break it into chapters to be filled in later or as things come to you. If it is a memoir, there could be chapters on childhood family life, the military, working in a hospital and living in the wilderness.

those are superb ideas! :thumright: though I suspect a lot of the stuff would come into sufficiently sharp focus only when I am on my deathbed.

so, have you thought about writing your own memoirs?

I may be too bitter. Mostly, I have significant executive dysfunction. I don't think I could pluck and organize the memories. I'm too ambivalent and can't decide what is important and what is insignificant.

just a friendly suggestion :) but it may well do you good just to put this bitterness on paper [or such] because if you express it, it is a venting and will give your psyche some relief. your paper or word processor is akin to a friendly and neutral ear that will listen, will hear you out, no matter what you tell it or write down. what you could do, is write one portion of things that made you feel ungood, then immediately write another portion about things that made you feel good. then occasionally parse each category and find exemplars of each of the feelings in your life [worried/glad/sad/angry/pensive]. and/or, divide them into eras in your life [i.e., young before motherhood, marriage/young after motherhood, middle age et al].

I like that idea. It would fit into my psychotherapy, also. The psychologist told me to write, etc. He also said healing is in integration of the good with the bad. Very insightful, AB!! !
