I am not entirely sure, but one time I think I may have accidentally associated love with constipation.

Not at all. I love snakes in temperate North America, with the exception of the alien Burmese pythons that are infiltrating south Florida.

One thing that concerns me is that I may feel like I am an imposter if I am assessed and not found to be on the spectrum. The reason for this is that most of what I write may then be meaningless, as I can only write from my heart and my experiences...

It is wierd because it is a big risk for me to write as I am exposing myself... Uhmmm. I mean... If I am on the spectrum then I will feel relief because I will be filling in ll the jigsaw pieces and making a picture of my life and it is good.

But, if I am not on the spectrum it is like all these jigsaw pieces of my life have been exposed as all being in the wrong places, and it will be like tearing every piece up again trying to make sense of who I am?

Oh gosh! I have learnt soo much about myself with the help of everyone here and the brief visit to the two autistic experts I saw for about 15-20 minutes...To tear up all that and be starting all over again... I will be in a mess because I won't know who I am!

I thought I knew who I was... Then I found out about what the shutdowns were... Then I found out all these traits... So that was like abandoninb who I thought I was and rebuilding myself to how I think of myself now... And another major shift if I am not on the spectrum would be so HUGE that I am not sure I could cope! It makes me think that being assessed could be a bad thing as it may bring major mental upheaval... But also, at the same time I HAVE to know. I have to risk all and kmow! The not knowing is painfully stressful.

Such risks either way! I need to be assessed to know where I stand anyway!

Sorry. I am deep thinking.

It was originally a derogatory term for poor white farmers who worked the fields in the American south. :P

Hmmm...

:o ... Never suffered a sunburn my whole life.
And I don't regularly put any sunblocks. Never had my skin redden due to the Sun's heat.

Despite able to hang around over a 40+ C something summer under the Sun for hours without a break.
I get darken and more contrasting skin instead.

Those of us with less melanin are getting jealous of your resistance to UV radiation. :P

I get second-degree (blistering) sunburns on my shoulders if I don't have them completely covered, like if I'm in a swimsuit or something. Even with sunblock my shoulders burn.

Yeah, if I'm outside for about five minutes or more with unprotected shoulders, I'm guaranteed to get sunburned. Fortunately I favor T-shirts even in summer, so my shoulders are usually covered. But if I'm going swimming, I need to wear a shirt over my swimsuit.
