I had to change both the light bulbs in my computer room today. I'm glad I was able to change them without anyone's help, but the ceilings in my apartment are really high and just having to stand on a chair and reach upwards reminds me of how bad my balance is. My legs are wobbling even though I'm only maybe a couple of feet from the ground and I'm really afraid they're going to give and I'll fall and be seriously injured or break my neck any second. It's difficult for me to even get onto the chair and then stand on it, and then get down after I'm done. Also one of the bulbs was hard to remove and I was afraid it would get stuck or break off in my hand, but luckily it didn't.

I don't know if my balance is so bad because of my longtime history of chronic ear infections or Asperger's or what, but what I do know is that falls are the most common household accident, and most of the time they can be prevented with some common sense. But even when I am being careful standing on things or going down the stairs, I know it's not careful enough. :( Maybe next time I'll put all my stuffed animals around the chair so I'll have something soft to fall on. :)

You never answer the phone while your husband is awake, and you never call back when you say you will. It's always been a little weird and rude, but now what I know a thing or two about narcissists, it's a bit alarming, too.

You inherited a family business and managed to ride it to a fairly comfortable retirement, but you did kinda run it into the ground and sell it for scraps. I'm not going to critique, in a world with Amazon, but you treat people like they are beneath you, you seem rather controlling, and it's not clear you are even very bright. Frankly, you seem kinda heartless. And on matters concerning me, you are definitely not a subject matter expert.

He picked on me as a kid. It was your job to protect me, but you thought he was funny, so it was me that got in trouble when I reacted badly. I think I've demonstrated the kindest soul that I had anything to do with either of you once I no longer needed to. Or that I miss either of you.

You humiliated me in front of the whole drive in theater. Or so I thought. The truth is they probably thought you were a lunatic. I still wonder what would have happened if I'd said I was going to the bathroom and never came back. I also wonder what would have happened if, on the Thanksgiving you and he humiliated me in front of extended family, if I had called dad to come pick me up.

Please please , as soon as you can - buy a sturdy step stool meant for climbing. It makes a huge difference.

I found out on Facebook that my cousin just died. I haven't seen her for a really long time and don't know how she died, but she was severely physically and mentally disabled and frail. I didn't ask my relatives how she died because I thought it might be rude. I decided saying that it's probably for the best, especially since we're all going to die soon anyway would be even more rude, even if it's true.
