unseasonably warm, which is disconcerting when you consider that just a short two weeks ago it was beginning to feel like a true california winter, dew and all.

the smoke has let up a bit, and earlier today one could make out batches of blue through the smoke plume. ash isn't as bad as before, but the air quality remains hazardous. n95 masks are in this season.

dry winds flow through the cannons and intensify as speed as they funnel through. santa anas are very dry and are often responsible for the fast spread of fires, in addition to the fact that the brush around these parts is very thick and dry, with some areas having been unburned since 1936.

It’s cold, my bedroom is the coldest at night during the winter, I got a new portable heater with a built in temperature, I guess my cat gets cold too, she been snuggling me, once she came too close to me, we were almost face to face, first she put her paw on my mouth then she almost hit me in the eye.

Just below the Mason-Dixon Line: 47F, raining, started off as wintry mix. Fog, damp cold, very dark for the time of day.

Right now we're having really strong winds that are making it feel at least -22 degrees. Cold is one thing, but BITTER cold... I don't anyone can tolerate that. And this is just after we had a huge storm with snow and freezing rain on Christmas Day, and a lot of people are still without power. I can't believe how lucky am to have a generator and hardly ever lose power. It must be really hard for people with babies and small children trying to warm a baby bottle let alone food. And of course this all had to happen during a time of celebration, go figure.

What kind of a god would let people suffer at Christmas time for absolutely no reason? Not one I'd want to believe in, that's for sure. So if anyone goes on about how we should celebrate it mainly for its religious origins, it'll be all I can do not to tell them to go shove it down their chimney.
