that everyone dies, and whatever life they live is a blip compared to how long they'll be buried.
so if you have a great life that's still a tiny percentage of how long you'll be dead.
and if you have a bad life same thing.

so it doesn't matter in the end.

just as long as your life's happiness was not at the expense of others, intentionally, because then (IF) there is an afterlife, you'll regret it longer than the short-lived happiness you derived was.

so thinking about death actually simplifies thinking about life.

there's no need to dwell on bad things,
or ache for things that you might never get, when it'll all be over soon anyway.

that's philosophical and deep. i believe that, if there is a heaven, everyone goes. who would even want to spend eternity with a tyrant who could condemn anyone to ETERNAL torture for bad choices in this brief (as you have pointed out) life.

there are bad choices sure.

but then there are choices that ruin and devastate people's lives, done knowingly and callously. nothing i've experienced first-hand, but seen, and read of, in current times, and history of civilizations around the world.

there are genocides and broken families, concentration camps, and mass murders happening as we speak, people dying of starvation, not on a small scale but perhaps the largest scale in world history.

internationally banned weaponry being used by US in this new millennium that has devastated not just the civilians they were illegally used on but generations to come, kids being born with crazy defects and disabilities, small babies enduring unknowable amounts of pain for nothing.
the people who created, inflicted, and allowed for such things to happen, currently living lives of luxury, some of them-- the ones who actually had the authority to make soldiers do it, not the soldiers themselve-s--
i don't believe they deserve anything less than hell.

not to mention terrorists, as in ISIS and the like. not just state sponsored NATO terrorism mentioned above, but actual known groups with terrorism done knowingly to innocent people. i don't believe such people deserve anything less than what they intended for others

where do fairness and mercy come in? 80 years of awful (even if it weren't true that hurt people hurt people) doesn't deserve millions of years of miserable, unrelenting torture.

i don't mean "can buy a brand new mercedes" rich, i mean "can buy an ELECTION" rich.

"more wealth than the bottom half of america" rich.

"politicians exist to serve me, and me only" rich.

i would like for such people to no longer exist by the time i'm old.

someone in my family (a general) actually overthrew a corrupt politician of the country. with a military coup, for this exact reason.

he looks like imran khan's relative, and they both have similar approaches and similar idealistic goals.

actually my brother told me that Pathans and Jews have similar anthropological backgrounds and considered to be originating from the same tribes...

except the former group has a stereotype for being not that smart and for being hot-headed,
and the latter's stereotype is of being smart, educated and the complete opposite basically.

but anyway maybe way back they are both related. but i do think imran khan is not that smart, but he's idealistic and seems honest, so that's what supporters like, just like bernie.
