I keep having a very vivid reoccurring dream that I am driving a big city bus through a big city with tall buildings like New York.....completely naked. And I'm hoping the passengers getting on and off don't notice I'm naked. And I'm having a hard time driving because I'm only 4'11" (irl) and the steering wheel is huge and my toes are just barley touching the pedals. Everyone looks like Matrix characters wearing black winter clothes and sunglasses. So that's it. If anyone says they are having a dream they're on a bus being driven by a small skinny naked boy, I'm gonna freak 8O

@EzraS: Sounds like you're afraid of being "discovered", or "outed", in some sense. As being incompentent, or as being an aspie, or as something undisireable.

@Auntblabby: Your Startrek dream could be a parable on "communication". You have trouble getting through to the cast of Startrek. And you're talking about communication devices. The message could be that even with today's communication technology folks still have trouble communicating!

:thumleft: :star: or it could just be that I MYSELF have trouble communicating with people in general and in particular. :star: :thumright:

IRL, you communicate well on Wrong Planet. At the end of your dream, your girlfriend's name is in print. Maybe, your dream sums up your communication experience in life.

I like what naturalplastic said. At my job, people misunderstand each other all the time but they spend a lot of time texting on their phones (I assume their texts are successful).

IMHO, you both nailed it :star: Naturalplastic is a "natural" at getting to the gist of dreams, and you are doing far more than "just killing time" in this regard, as well :hail: if only the whole world were like the wrong planet, and I could edit my f2f speech to make better sense like I can do here.

I think incompetent is it. I want on a tirade a couple of days ago on my teen help and advice forum about being a screw up and failure and how I'd probably screw up because of my autism and post something that would be misunderstood and get me banned from there and I should just stick to WP etc.

Don't think so, considering my brother just graduated from Cornell last weekend and the family was visiting because he simply lives up there now and we don't see him that much.

Last night I dreamed
I leaped across unimaginable chasms
I spread my wings and I soared
held aloft
i plummeted into strange terrain

there were oceans
and basins
but I finally found the highest point out
and flew out

That sounds like fun. I wish there was a computer "game" where you can explore a world but not fight anything or win or lose anything. Anyway, your dream sounds beautiful.

Had a weird one last night.
Me and an old friend were dressed up as opposing superheroes and were fighting we eventually shot each other in the chest,so we go to the hospital but could not get help i keept trying to explain that i got shot in the chest but either got no response or one doctor said its probably just pneumonia.I kept showing them the hole but still nothing, that went on for what seemed like days.

Thats how it ended and i woke up with my hand where the hole was as if i was applying pressure to it.There was way more detail to it but my dreams have been a little foggy lately.

too bad Canadian gun laws don't extend into dreamland. anyways, dreammoods says that to see a shooting in your dream indicates that you have a set goal and know what to aim for in life. Your plans are right on target! To dream that you shoot a person with a gun denotes your aggressive feelings and hidden anger toward that particular person. If the person you shoot is a stranger, then it indicates that you are rejecting unknown aspects of yourself that you do not understand. To dream that someone is shooting you with a gun suggests that you are experiencing some confrontation in your waking life. You may be feeling victimized in some situation.
Shot
To dream that you are shot or being shot at represents a form of self-punishment that you may be subconsciously imposing on yourself. You may have done something that you are ashamed of or are not proud of.

I had a dream within a dream. in my inner dream I dreamt I was in some military barracks where I was third in command, and it was a congenial environment, totally unlike the real army. when I awoke from the inner dream [still in the outer dream] I found myself in another barracks room, and I opened the door and saw people passing in a hallway, to the right were the showers and to the left was the chow hall. I went back inside my room and chatted a bit with my roommate [who was a real-life co-worker in my civil service job] and told him about my dream. then I awoke.

I had a weird experience at work today, one of baffling human nature problems. I came home and was thinking about it, fell asleep and had this dream:

I died and went to heaven and everybody was there, yeah everybody. God was this voiceover and he was saying things like, "Let's give a big hand to all the men out there, they really ruled the place for a long time." And, "Put your hands together for a big hearty cheer for all the gals, childbirth, whoah what is that? Glad I wasn't born a girl!" It kind of went on and on like that and then he started handing out certificates, but we never saw him they just fell from the sky as the graduate crossed the podium. Then he goes in his big booming voice, "Ok, that's it. Bye." Then EVERYBODY was milling around going, what do we do now? Where did he go? HE's not coming back? What is this? Where are we?

Then before I could find out, my cat woke me up!
