it's snowing heavily up north but down here we just have windy rain.

I love snow. It brings the world to an unplanned halt, calmness becomes everything.

It's 8.There is a frog frozen under the ice in the lily pond. :( Cold enough where the river is frozen, cold enough to freeze my pipes.Be hauling water from the old hand dug well in the morning.Great fun.
On a positive note it will be 60 this weekend.Time to break out the shorts,it will feel hot.Maybe even a thunderstorm.

real windy 15mph, my road acts like a wind tunnel and is also noisy due to single glazed windows, about 6° , wind chill takes it down to sub zero temperatures

Freezing rain with dangerous sidewalks and streets, and cars slipping and sliding everywhere.

After the goose egg we warmed up to 70 yesterday and had our first tornado watch. One formed somewhere in the Ozarks but fortunately not here.We hosted a tornado last spring,we still don’t have a post office from that event.
We did get a good welcome rain, hope it helps our water table.
Luckily my pipes didn’t freeze, with the drought I’d just pumped the well dry.So nice to see the water running.
Now it’s back cold, extremely windy and a chance of sleet.
