The chicken I'm boiling in a pot right now was covered in pre-death bruises. Even its organs had bruises on them. :x Why does everyone around me want meat so much, and why does every vegan dish so far have to taste like #$%?! rrrg!

So true. I remember someone saying 'Guess what so and so said about you?'
I said,'I don't want to hear it, if they have a problem they can tell me directly.'
He was flabbergasted.
I also don't spread the poison. Sometimes people say things and they're just blowing off steam. Passing it along just blows it out of proportion.

I've met people that lie like that to be a jerk or to get you two to fight, so they can happily skip and tap over to the little boss or teacher and screw you both for their own benifit.

Why the Hell do they do that? My three cats do that to me all the time.

I coughed at least half the night last night. Having a cold is so annoying.

If I had to guess, to annoy humans

Sorry your ill *Awkward aspie hug*
 You probably right, thanks Titangeek.

I don't feel too well and I'm not going to my doctor. She'll just put me on more antibiotics. She put me on antibiotics for my tendinitis. You don't do that. You suggest that your patient takes Maximum Strength Tylenol.

Are you talking about the cold you have or do you have other things that are making you ill, do you think you have the flu? Colds and the flu can certainly make you feel like crap. I don't like it when you're sick it makes me feel bad because you are so sweet and happy usually but when you get sick, it really shows because you're not your usual self for sure and I know you are really feeling bad. I hope you feel better soon. *Gives Mick a Big HUG*

Be vegetarian then. I'm lacto-vegetarian and there are many yummy things I can eat :P

That's very true. My daughter is vegan and cooks fantastic food. Once she made a big vegan Thanksgiving dinner and it was wonderful. I was so impressed. But she has always enjoyed cooking even as a child she wanted to get into the kitchen to cook and experiment with food. She gets it from her father.

Life made me unhappy today. To be more specific, friendships degenerating, and the friends I still have are going through their own crises that I try to help them with at the same time as being frustrated by other things and... Blegh. I'm getting over it though, life is just how it is.

That's so cool! Does she have anything online in the way of easy recipes she'd recommend? I have dairy but no eggs in my diet, but I'd be fine trying vegan recipes as long as the ingredients weren't extravagant. I like cooking as well. When I work up the courage to cook...and the patience. I wanted to as a child, but my mom was scared to let me use a stove/oven. So. I experimented with the microwave. :P

If it's a cold+flu, then she shouldn't prescribe antibiotics. She might give you antiviral medication ($$$), but antibiotics don't work on colds and the flu. The best things for colds and cases of the flu are rest (allows some downtime from the usual maintenance, helps reset pain centers) and water (replenish lost fluids and remove the excess toxins). There's some evidence that taking extra vitamin C at the start of the cold will reduce the amount of time it affects the body, but don't take too much because of the issue of diarrhea.

Thank you for the advice. I've been resting off and on through out the day and I'll continue to do so. I'm also drinking lots of water.

That's good. I hope you'll recover quickly, because it is horrible to have a cold or flu through Christmas and the New Year (which happened on three separate years) when everyone else is celebrating.

I've just found out that Trish Keenan the lead singer died of Broadcast pneumonia just this past January. Broadcast is one of my favourite bands.

My mother was the same way with me as far as cooking went as your mother was with you. I don't know to be honest if my daugher has something online like that, I don't think she does. She usually tells me and everyone what she has online. She had worked for PETA here in Norfolk, Virginia for a long time and all the employees would share recipes and such with each other. I know when she was a teenager she would get recipies off the Internet and we would go to the store and buy what she needed to make the food she wanted too. I'll have to ask my daugher when I talk to her next to see where she gets her recipes from and if she has anything online.
