I'd like to have one too. I could imagine travelling would be easier with one. i.e. less stressful for someone who doesn't get on with the real world too well.
Sometimes I feel trapped in all these anxieties, and I'd like to go back to a more mentally and physically free state of being.

Me too, that's why I make it a point to do this at least once a month:

I personally don't enjoy places without electricity, TV, or the Internet.

Actually that campsite had electricity (inverter, generators are too noisy) and Internet (3G).

I suppose I could do satellite TV too but there's really no reason to because I don't watch much TV - I did have hot running water though... 8)

I think I have become officially addicted to WP. Is there a 12 step programme?

Just two steps, Henbane
1. Say goodbye to the nice WP folk
2. Cut your internet connection ;)

When I go camping I refuse to bring anything more high-tech than a flashlight. Cell phone included. It just feels wrong to me.

Thanks, but this is quite rare actually. I sometimes think about exercising my 2nd amendment rights, but I always end up deciding against it: it just seems like more trouble than it's worth...
