Dreading having to go to Walmart later today on a Saturday when it's super busy and hectic and what I want to eat for lunch today.

Thinking about olives and why they are so delicious esp with a bit of cheese (the type that come in wedges n is considered to be fancy)...

And how olives are amazing.
And how I can't wait to eat them again.

First case of coronavirus confirmed in my area, according to whatever news source my mom uses. I am completely unaffected by that news. I don't really care if I get the coronavirus because neither I nor any member of my immediate family (who provide almost all of my in-person socialization) are elderly or have any conditions that would make us extra susceptible to it. I would have a chance of spreading it to them, but if any/all of us get it, we have no real reason not to expect that we'll be perfectly fine. I don't have a job to go to or a car to use to run errands or anything, so I'm practically isolated anyway (I guess that also means that I'm the one least likely to get the disease unless it's off one of my family members).

Hey elbow,
What's the corona climate like now in CA? Is there mass hysteria or are things calming down?

Just cancelled a trip to Thousand Oaks area.

I've managed to remain oblivious to almost all forms of news for a while now. I hear things are weird in San fran. A friend of mine wants to go visit some friends, but he's putting it off. I heard the governor declared a state of emergency. No idea, though, whether that was related to corona or something else entirely.
weather is nice here today.

I tend to be oblivious too. My only news about it is from WP. I never even heard of it until this forum.

It's nice living under rocks.

I wish I could manage to be informed without feeling obligated to be personally involved, want to save the world, want to make a massive wave and a hopefully positive impact on the world and it's current state of affairs. I haven't managed to find that balance, though, and I'm usually so far into my own world I kind of forget that there are other things going on (or something, I guess).
It can be interesting under rocks.
Lao Tzu said something like: "How do I know about the world? By what is inside me!"

Where in the world (roughly) is your rock located?

My rock is under some books far far away from you, but I do have family in America (CA and quite a few other states).

It's very interesting to be oblivious. I'm making a pillow fort in my closet.

Books are good to get lost in. I've got family all over the U.S. as well. I don't have enough pillows to make a fort, or enough space in my closet to build anything in. Planning to build a spaceship in my apartment once I get the drive system figured out, though.

I know, it's crazy.
First tests on a different but related drive system were promising, though, so I feel obligated to continue.

Fed up of people on social media slagging off panic buyers & downplaying coronavirus. They don't know people's situation.
We've bought extra loo roll & liquid soap. We've done a week shop which to a lot of ppl wouldn't feel like a panic buy but we normally do a daily one.
Cos my mum has a condition which affects her immunity & my stepdad's over 70.
People don't know other ppl's situation.
