All events and social activities cancelled
Isolation
Loneliness
If I can't go to work, I don't get paid
People driving like maniacs and long lines
A promising year turned to a big pile of steaming you-know-what

Due to the Coronavirus scare, my social group will be closing down till further notice. I can't really go places cause my brother has asthma so if I catch COVID-19 then I also put my brother at risk as well, and I would be heartbroken if I caused my brother's death.

I only go out if absolutely necessary so I'm just trying to figure out what to do being in the house all day.

I'm a Lib But...

I'm tired. Tired of caring for the world.

My dad I can concern myself over.

Someone who's probably group C and who's telling me bs cos she assumes I'm doing the same dumb things as her? No. I can't control her. Might as well not talk to her.

If she's group A she's stupid.

She's going to the hairdresser. That's non essential.

I only get to go out when it's a dog walk. We walked today in an empty field, avoiding people. I can't go to the shops and similar. I have to do it online. Because I'm group B.

And it's worth the sacrifice. Why? My mum and my stepdad will be alive after all this. I'm 99.999999% sure of that. Because we're sensible. Because we stay inside.

I'm not saying social Darwinism is right or haha Darwin awards. I'm saying I don't have the energy to worry over strangers.

I still just want a good night's sleep, a full eight hours uninterrupted, waking up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. Just once would be adequate, though of course I wouldn't complain about more. So jealous of people who wake up like that every day. Instead I wake up every day still wanting more sleep and am so tired I'm ready for bed as early as 7:00 PM some days.

Lots of moving and lifting.
And scattered clothes. And dusts.

Miss Linton,
Have you ever seen/heard K.D. Lang’s ‘Hallelujah‘ on YouTube?
Takes your breath away.

Food for thought.

I'm working from home. It's... not going as well as it should. Hah... :skull:
How do people regularly do this. I can't focus at all. Last time I worked from home I hardly had anything to do because my job was very low-key. This job is way more intense and busy, and I can't seem to get my bearings. It doesn't help that I've had a ton of things thrown at me in the last few days because of the virus. Clinical research + viruses + quarantine don't mix well, eh. Who woulda thought.

I keep making WW2 comparisons cos it is helpful to me and my mum thinks I'm more scared than I am. I'm not. It's like when old people talk about blitz spirit. Only my stuff is actually useful. Do dig for victory, do worry about if your journey's necessary or not.

Speaking of which:
One of my favourite bands Dropkick Murphies has stepped up to become the Vera Lynn of the 21st century.
I hope more do similar.
