I'm wondering why the WP search bar refuses to work for me. It's never worked before, but I saw someone mention using it so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Then I go back to thinking about my sister and also wishing I posted more positive things.

I'd like it if some of my friends would keep in touch. I guess that they don't have anyone to worry about.

Does it keep telling you the function can't be used at this time? I get that a lot.

What's on your mind right now?

Smoke.

I thought all bars, clubs and restaurants had to shut due to the virus?

Nah, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s temperamental. ;(

A dear friend of my family lost a loved one to Corona today, in France.

I don't know all the details yet, but the person wasn't elderly.

Prayers to RB and family in San Francisco, and rest in peace to the deceased.

My sons nurse Mehri who is as angelic as one can imagine, told me that her nephew a Doctor in Istanbul died last night after 2 days of illness from covid 19. He's obviously considered a martyr as he contracted it and died due to helping patients. She showed me his picture and bereavement cards (online) that were sent. She is extremely worried as all nurses have been alerted tp be ready next week to do shifts fr covid 19 patients. That includes retired out of work and nurses in other sectors/agencies.

In pakistan the major general gyn. At a hospital who was a classmate of my mom's cousin, her 26yr old son passed away from it after 2 days of illness as well. Exact same number of days. Mehri's nephew looked older than 26 tbh he looked older than Mehri to me as he had greying hair by his temples. He had a wife n kid.

It feels so inadequate, but I have warm, gentle dragon hugs for everyone who has lost someone to COVID-19, as well as those battling it and those tending to the sick.

1. That IsabellaLinton has a big heart.

2. My XH is soooo kind!

The kids broke my computer last week, and today my brother came to drop it off to be fixed (since I'm not going to risk it-- i did give him a mask). The people said it will take minimum 2 weeks before I get my laptop back, fixed. I called XH and told him so, and asked him if his work could lend him a laptop and if he would lend it to me for this time , so I can study when kids are with him 4 nights a week.
He said, 'I was thinking about that yesterday.'
And when I dropped them off, he placed his laptop in my car!

I hope his good deeds from things like this add up and as long as he doesn't do anything horrible later on, all the mean things he did are forgiven (which I usually do, anyway)--as well, I pray for every good thing for him in this life and the next.

3. I watched a youtube video about an ex-gang member (a girl who btw is extraordinarily pretty), and her life was pretty sad.

Getting involved in a gang in school, she ended up in a big mess later on (e.g. drug addiction, abusive criminal partner, etc).
She lost her kids (but her mom looks after them, and she sees them regularly).

An organization exists called Homeboy, which she discovered after a long struggle trying to get a job and have a stable life (she wants to save up to have a house, and regain custody of her children).

This organization helps ex-gang members get out of that lifestyle and get employment.

I was surprised that life can turn out like that for someone, yet she still has the guts to continue. She did mention occasionally thinking about suicide, but she is strong for continuing.

I was impressed that she owns up and takes full responsibility. She doesn't shift blame onto anyone. If I were in her situation, I wouldn't be like that.
