Not really. The Congo River is a highway for the people who live there. People and goods travel up and down the Congo River and there are books about traveling it.
There are, I think, some "undescended" rivers in Asia and in the Himalayas but they far exceed my ability. These are trips with many people and many sponsors. Only the top condition and experienced explorers can attempt them.
I don't "need" a river that no one has paddled before. But I want one that does not have maps beyond the USGS maps. I don't want a description of the route and a video of others who have been there. I don't want books telling me just what to expect. It's like someone paddles a river and it is a secret mysterious place. Then they write a book or a popular magazine article and suddenly "everybody" knows about it. It's exploitation of the river.
It could be my time and the time for this kind of river running is over. I may have to just remember the times I was river running in unknown territory and how that felt.
