Right now, sunlight and scattered clouds. But last night I was honestly afraid of flooding. My home is on the lowest-elevation lot on the block, and it's a large block. So I'm used to the drainage pattern - I get everybody's - but it's obnoxious at times.
Well, last night, just before dark, we had a downpour the like of which I've never seen. Within literally five minutes my yard was flooded and my nextdoor neighbor's entire driveway was submerged. Fortunately my home is on a slight elevation, but I do mean slight. I actually feared that the cable and power services would short out - something I've never been concerned about before.
Today it *looks* good out there, but I know I can't work in the yard - it'll still be squelching wet, and I'll just do damage.
I'm lucky, and I know it. People were evacuated from their homes in several nearby towns.
