You're right again, Mr. Wolf! I frequently sit in small spaces, like beneath desks or in closets ( you'll recall my first year with N!), but I haven't been under my bed since I was very young. I don't think my bed is risen high enough.
1. I used to fall out of my bed all the time because of nightmares. One of them was the full story of Jane Eyre. I was four years old and there is no way I should have known the story at that age. This remains unexplained.
2. When I was 13 I was fishing in a storm with my dad and grandfather. The boat capsized and my father tied me to a tree on a nearby island so I wouldn't blow away.
3. My brother had to swim from the rescue boat to the island in stormy waves, to untie me from the tree.
I'm reading my list and can't figure out my own lie. They're all true. I must have been really sleepy when I wrote the list. Yes, the storm and tree story is true. I always thought it was a bizarre dream memory or something but finally asked my brother "Hey, was there a time dad tied me to a tree with rope during a torrential rain storm?" (stares blankly...) ("Oh, you mean fishing!") (I had forgotten to add that key element
) "How did I get rescued?" (not giving leading info) ("Dad called me by radio and I came out on the bigger boat in the storm with Uncle __ , but we couldn't dock at the rocky shoreline so he told me to jump in and swim for you")
Neither he nor I remembers if I was dragged back through the water to the rescue boat.
That part is a blur to me.
Hollywood couldn't do it better
