Is your Dad's dog a Flat-Coated Retriever? Those are lovely dogs!

I have a three year old Golden Retriever.
I love dogs and my Golden has really helped me. I have met some cool "pet people" out and around. There's nothing like the love of a pet. Every time I come home, he's thrilled to see me. When I'm sad, he lays on the bed with me. I love my dog more than anything!

I think I have way too many pets. :P

5 Dogs: Bossy, Pimp, Shadow, Poodle (yes that's her real name), and Lexy

7 Cats: Jojo, Socks, Nuni, Tofu, Lion, Tiger, Alpo,

3 Chickens: Casanova, Siren, and Harpy

I sadly lost one of my cats the other day when he got outside and got hit by a car. His name was Willy and he was my favorite and the oldest of all my cats. He slept in my bedroom since we found him under our house 10 years ago and I really miss him.

I am however getting a new baby kitten from my cousin. We don't know for sure if it's a boy or a girl but it's solid black and very pretty. If it's a boy I want to name it Romero after my favorite horror movie director George A. Romero, and if it's a girl I want to name if after Lilith who was a figure in Hebrew mythology: the first wife of Adam who became a demon after she ran away from the Garden of Eden.

at the family home, the cats are mine though theyre also sorta family pets to,we have biscuit;a maine coon cross who ran away from her original home two doors down when they had a baby and boomer;an elderly tuxedo boy had rescued, think his original human mum had been an elderly person who passed on as he has all the behaviors of a kitteh who was owned by one.

at mine am not allowed to own indoor pets as its a residential facility, but several years ago had been supported by staff using PECS/easy read material to learn the basics of incubation,it took over a year to learn but have sucessfuly incubated and hand reared ten babies, have only lost one when it was exactly a week old after birth due to the horrible cocciodosis virus, this was a write up and photos taken by the residential organisation, which was pretty chuffed about, though its well ancient-
http://fairfieldresidential.co.uk/index.php?pageId=69
theyre all quite special breeds, one breed is especialy super rare; pure bred blue and blue splash japanese cochins.

this is self, temple and tito chillin on a bench outside ours:
Image
they are from the first flock had incubated and they are all named after individuals who have done big things for autism awareness, temple;obviously after ms grandin and tito after tito mukhopadhyay.
they are spoilt, very loyal and will come looking for attention because they had become part of human life since day one, and everyone says how dedicated tito is to his girls, letting them eat food or treats before he gets any,if the other two cockrels of mine even send a naughty cluck in titos girls direction, tito gets mega protective of them,he never hurts any human apart from those who do it to him,and the two year old niece of mine who is weary of chickens loves petting and hand feeding him, woud love to take him to a chicken show to show off his superior qualities but bet they woudnt be bothered about personality.

In some of my posts, I've referred to my dog and the circumstances I came by her. Here is a brief history. My oldest son, who was living with his mom, got the dog in 2001-ish. When he went to college, she was going to care for the dog since he could not have pets. Ultimately I ended up with the dog. She is a mix, and no one seems to know from what. As I've mentioned, she is smart, friendly, affectionate, and very sweet.

This is a picture of her I found a couple days ago, from September 28, 2002, when my son brought her down. She looks so small and cute in this photo.

This is a picture of my son holding her when we went to the park for a walk, from the same time frame.

This is a picture of the dog today. I need to mow, even though I like he plants, aka weeds.

Pixie - In my opinion the world's most friendly chihuahua:

Image

This picture was taken a couple weeks ago (I was having a lazy sunday, comfy under the blanket with Pixie laying on top of it at the bottom of my feet. Then i somehow managed to fall asleep - when i woke up we couldn't find her anywhere, then when i went to fold together the blanket, i found her - she had crawled underneath the blanket during the time i was asleep.):

And PS: Blanket monsters don't bite, at least not this one ^^,
