We're in a drought right now. It sure would be nice if Bret would start moving west. We really need a tropical storm.

there is atrocious weather in sydney at the moment (according to those who are stuck in it (i saw them on the news)).

there is driving rain and buffeting gusts up to 109 kph (outside).

outside the temperature is 10.6 C (according to my own instruments), and inside it is 24.4 C.

relative humidity is 44% inside. i do not have an external hygrometer at the moment but is is at saturation level outside.

barometeric pressure is 1016.9 hectopascals.

2:30 am friday 22nd july 2011.

yes. it is 68.125 mph. that was the strongest gust so far recorded in this storm cycle.

i calculate the gusts in my location to be peaking at about 80 kph (50mph) on occasions.

trees are swirling and swaying and my door is being pushed and pulled by the fluctuations in pressure and it was making a banging sound before i chocked it.

these are good conditions to drift off to sleep in.

That sounds rather mad!
Storms of that intensity are few and far between here, but a few autumn nights do sometimes have winds like these.

Stay safe :)

Wind right now is 0mph.
