Terfs will slag a guy who's been trying since he was younger than a teenager to undersatand himself/his lack of femininity through the lens of feminism and call him anti-feminist, traitor etc...
Then turn around and (once they've denied afab people bodily autonomy...) listen to the religious right
See the reasons I know I'm not a woman are partly personality based. But they also have to do with 1 bodily dysphoria and 2 (this is where my egg cracked) certain bedroom desires.
I don't feel like telling everyone about carnal desires or how I feel about my height or periods etc. So it comes across as sexist 'I'm masculine'.
If I was cis I wouldn't even be considered one of the most masculine guys out there. One of my friends described it as 'soft boy'. The kind of guy a lady trusts because he's a gentleman. The kind of guy who will write poetry and love letters to his sweetheart The kind of guy who's honest about his emotions. I'm considered masculine, sure, but only by people who see me as a sports loving, swearing, chivalric woman. I'm not denying there are butch lesbians out there who are more macho than I am.
I'm saying: you can't know about everything, I don't give you that right, there's such a thing as boundaries so I will talk about personality to avoid talking about other stuff.
