I wonder what would happen if all the members that WP ever had started posting, all at once.

Mayhem would happen. Followed by a swift server crash.

Not having much personal time anymore ... 95% of my energy goes to 1) performing well at work, 2) keeping my marriage in good condition. Once you get deep into RealLife™, there's no turning back. Feels kinda unfair as the blokes around me knows nothing of my disability, and thinks I'm just managing things like everyone else. Even if you tell them, you just get "But you don't seem autistic!"

At least I've dropped the masking nonsense.

I wish I had a big desk with a lockable lid so all your stuff including your bookshelves can be out of sight. They were one of the best inventions ever.

My to-do list for the day is on my mind. It will be a big list of largely mundane household tasks that I have been neglecting the last couple of days.

Terfs will slag a guy who's been trying since he was younger than a teenager to undersatand himself/his lack of femininity through the lens of feminism and call him anti-feminist, traitor etc...

Then turn around and (once they've denied afab people bodily autonomy...) listen to the religious right

See the reasons I know I'm not a woman are partly personality based. But they also have to do with 1 bodily dysphoria and 2 (this is where my egg cracked) certain bedroom desires.

I don't feel like telling everyone about carnal desires or how I feel about my height or periods etc. So it comes across as sexist 'I'm masculine'.

If I was cis I wouldn't even be considered one of the most masculine guys out there. One of my friends described it as 'soft boy'. The kind of guy a lady trusts because he's a gentleman. The kind of guy who will write poetry and love letters to his sweetheart  The kind of guy who's honest about his emotions. I'm considered masculine, sure, but only by people who see me as a sports loving, swearing, chivalric woman. I'm not denying there are butch lesbians out there who are more macho than I am.

I'm saying: you can't know about everything, I don't give you that right, there's such a thing as boundaries so I will talk about personality to avoid talking about other stuff.

Hero worshipping politicians or political parties is stupid.

I say that as someone with strong political views.

Politicians are a means to an end and none of them are perfect. We vote the ones into office to best serve the public, not the other way around. Turn out to be scumbags? Get rid of your allegience to them.

Thanks. While as a teenager I'd thought the current situation would've warranted a lot of masking, in my mid-30s I just shrug. I have core support network, and my wife, family-in-law, and boss and colleagues all appreciate me. Next year I mark my 10th anniversary of moving abroad, too. It's been interesting so far.

Governments should return to Keynesian economic policies that worked wonders to create full employment and unemployment rates around 2% during the golden times of economic prosperity during the 1950s and 1960s. Budget deficits should be used to create jobs instead of tax cuts for the wealthy/businesses. The wealthy and businesses pocket the tax cuts as savings and there are no jobs created. Trickle down economics have been a failure, unemployment rates have been a lot higher since 1980. The sooner governments return to Keynesian economic policies the better.

It works perfectly fine for me, I've got Adblock Plus and never see ads on youtube or anywhere else.

Why did my mum's friend lie to me when I was 4?

I knew he wrote songs.

I knew he loved playing Simon and Garfunkel songs.

I asked if he wrote them.

He said yes.

When I got older, I learnt he was lying.

He lost respect in my eyes.

So for a moment of a 4 yo's respect, he lied?

Instead of introducing me to a cool band?

Or introducing me to something he did write?

NTs are weird. Not all of them but enough of them where this is an NT-aspie distinction between me and him, I feel.
