I used it at uni and when I was working in a lab, because a lot of the computational software I used ran on it. I even had my laptop partitioned with SUSE installed ... and then ended up spending a lot of time playing games on it. :P Freeciv in particular, which led me to liking the whole Civilization game franchise. I kinda miss having Linux.

Same question.

Never used Linux, but I have a disc containing a version of it (Mageia), which I might try to install on an old laptop sometime.

In what year did you discover the existence of Wrongplanet?

2006ish I think, I was a teen but didn't register until later cause my parents were extermely strict on internet even as a teenager, they are very old fashion. I remember I had this horrible net nanny like parental control software installed on my system and I was only connected at certain times of the day. I had gotten around the software with a Linux partition and used it to get all my R-rated movies and M-rated games they hated so much. LOL I was such a rebel in their eyes, I had this tech guy I used to talk to on yahoo and they hated me talking to him so much. I can picture them disaproving of using a forum even if I was say 14 or 16, not so much cause they would view it as bad but would see it as a waste of time.

Anyway since we are on the topic, anyone else have crazy strict parents growing up? Or just parents that are just a bit old fashion?

No, just old fashioned.

my parents revolve around using empty threats when i do something that irks them. i have almost never seen them carry out they thy say they will do, and their logic is sometimes based on "because they said so". i'm not sure whether one would call that old fashioned, but its certainly something i can work around. they are not too skilled with technology and come to me when they have issues.

I like some fruits, such as strawberries.

Have you ever been personally attacked on WP?

Well, I had been berated in a subtle way as if the person doing such thought, that I'd not pick up on it yet I did and did not care for such persons at all.Luckily, these persons are no longer part of wp..
Do you find that friendship be it online or offline has it's difficulties?

Friendship totally has its difficulties, anywhere. I never know when I should actually consider someone a "friend", and I apparently don't follow enough or the right rules to get and keep them very often anyway.

Are you employed in anything you actually like doing? If so, what made you choose it. If no, what would you do instead, if you could do whatever you want?

I'm a writer [although I haven't got anything published yet]. I have always been good at making up stories, even when I was around three or younger.
Same question

if "nothing" counts as an activity and if i enjoy to do nothing, than you could say, yes, by being unemployed i am currently employed in that which i like to do which is nothing.
but i do not enjoy doing nothing so it seems the answer is no.

have you ever used an emulator?
