Hiking in solitude, picking and eating wild blackberries, drinking wine while taking a bath.

A decent birthday.

I finally got to see my glow-in-the-dark shoelaces glow in the dark today.

Awesome. I have glow-in-the-dark ball hockey balls, but if it's dark enough to notice it's way too dark to play.

Handing off jobs to competent & helpful coworkers after I’d done my part. :)

Two things.

1. I got half the front yard done before my body said nope, time to stop. I call it a win. I feel like death now, but I made some progress. That pleases me.

2. I'm finally starting to adjust to the new lower nicotine level for the vape thing and not hitting it constantly like a fiend. One year after starting this cutting down adventure, I'm officially on the lowest nicotine level available locally. Next step is to cut the 3% with 0% and then eventually get to 0. I got this.

You're doing well. Good luck with the final push :D

Thank you  I've tried simply quitting before and failed miserably. It seems this route, while moving slowly, is steady and reliable. I'm optimistic though a bit worried about the last few jumps to nothing. I probably won't go lower than 1.5% until the end of summer as moving slowly seems to lessen the stress of it all. In time, I totally got this.

Sighting of the albino newt that is currently gracing my pond. Thought I might have scared it away topping the pond up with water yesterday

There's been a house spider hanging out with me on my desk today. I think it's a young one because it's not anywhere near as big as they get later in the year. But he's cool. He comes out, watches me for a bit, goes off somewhere and then comes back again. I'm not a big fan of spiders but I've enjoyed this ones company today.

I thought you said "horse spider" and I was afraid to google.
I really do need new glasses. 8)

On that note I saw a Stanley spider today.
I named them Stanleys when I was about five.
They're the little ones kind of like an ant, black with white stripes.
I normally see them on bricks.
Today there was one in my house but I forgot about it and it disappeared.

I had a good conversation about different things with one of my coworkers today.
