We filled out a housing form today. Hopefully we will be moving somewhere where I don't have to have my ears shielded each second I am home, because that is just not a natural way to live and isn't doing my mental health any good.

Thank you Rossall. I'm feeling excited even though this is just the beginning and it could be a while before we get offered a new place.

The senior maintenance dude made me feel better about my f**k up at work. He came up to me to ask me if I was OK because I was upset and tell me that it wasnt just my fault, which was nice and helped a lot. I'm still embarrassed though because now I think the maintenence supervisor might think I'm f*****g stupid.

Yes. She's very tired after saving the lives of many drowning sticks today.

Got a number of things done today: brought some stuff to my office that's been piling up at home, got an oil change (a bit overdue), went grocery shopping, picked up cat meds from vet, made vet appointment for Cat #1 for later in July. Also bought a Refresher at Starbucks, to which I am ridiculously addicted. And now I'm working up to getting in some more time on building a research grant. So, it's been a productive day so far. Oh, and I also bought a couple books on Amazon-- two of Ian Tattersall's more recent. I've never gotten around to them even though I try to keep up with most popular paleoanthropology books, so it's a bit overdue.

PS: DuckHairback, your pupper is adorable! I'm sure the sticks were all very grateful.

Seeing the chalk drawings my little cousins made makes me so happy. Especially the ones of my rabbit. I hope it never rains.

There were 4 goslings. 2 confirmed survivors, 1 whereabouts unknown, possibly on a road trip with the nanny. I've drained the puddle, put bowls of fresh water and chick feed out, cut grass and watercress, shut them in a barn until they're (fingers crossed) bigger.
