The weather is really weird lately.
Last week it was very sunny and warm, everyone was out it shirts and shorts.
The last couple of days it's constantly alternating.
Today it hailed, snowed, became sunny again so the snow melted, then it hailed, then it became sunny again, then it snowed, became sunny, hailed, sunny and now it's snowing again.

My kitty KC still visits me in my dreams on occasion. In the dreams I know she’s gone in my waking life, I cry when I see her and spend the rest of the dream cuddling and petting her because I know she’ll be gone again when I wake up.

Will be vaccinated in a couple days and I'll lose an honorable way off this rock.

It’s been the same here in England for the past 2 days. Crazy weather ... looking forward to some consistently warmer weather :sunny:

Glad to hear you’re getting your first covid shot soon, Ten. Sorry to read things haven’t been so great. Been missing you in Tug ‘O War.

We did get to go to the park. My parents argued off and on, but I saw a bunch of pigeons and dogs which was a nice distraction.

I never want to see another printed family photo. I've sorted, labelled, and put about 4000 of them into albums with flawless chronology in the past two months, from about 1870 to present. I'll be done in about ... four hours I hope? I'm just not sure when those four hours will be. Next year would suit me well. Maybe 2030 :?

I'm taking suggestions for a new, obsessive special interest if anyone has some better ideas.

You could always think over a few million lines of code, get paid & spend it all on fast cars someday.

I genuinely applaud you for being able to commit to sorting 4000 photos. I think I would mentally die after the 200th and would give up. lol

You could go around trying to identify and catalogue all the native plants near you? Or try collecting something new that is super hard to source and will take years to complete... Those are the most time consuming things I can think of.

:P Not bad ideas at all. Thank you both.

I started with about 2000 printed photos that had never been sorted. I was supposed to stop when the pile ran out. Didn't I go searching for more at my mother's house, and didn't I start photofinishing hundreds of additional pictures from my daughter's social media, or my phone, and scanning small photos to make larger photos, or black and white copies? Didn't I also pay for lots of doubles by mistake? I won't even tell you how many framed pictures are in my house apart from all the brand new, colour-coordinated archival albums I bought online. Whoops. Apparently none of this is in style, but when I start something like that I just can't stop.

I think they might need a blades-of-grass counter somewhere, and I'm game.

Finances. I might end up getting even more meds, and I'm already annoyed with how much I need to spend on my current meds. I don't mind it if I need to swallow more pills, I'm a pro at that, but the costs...

Finances, as well. ^ I need all new windows in my house which might involve structural changes to the walls - but of course no one will do it because it's illegal during Covid. It's going to be a hugggggge job on top of many others. I'm weary from all the responsibilities of being a single woman homeowner. I hope it doesn't sound sexist but I need some manpower here. I miss having my dad come around to fix virtually anything whilst cursing and complaining about the world. Those grumbles would be music to my ears right now. I never took it for granted, but I had no idea how much money he was saving me at the time or how truly brilliant he was as an engineer.

Note to self: Tell people how much I love and appreciate them.
