A "vote of confidence" is an idiom, Caz.

People use it to express their full support of something, although it is often used sarcastically to mean the opposite. I.e, in this context, IL is sarcastically thanking you for a non-existent vote of confidence, since you seem to lack confidence in her based on your previous post where you expected her to judge you.

the heart contradicted the sarcasm
i know some would judge me about my relationship if i was to explain about here so im not going to because i dont have the energy for another argument

That's fair enough, Caz.

You should only share what you are comfortable with sharing. :)

I never judged you about your relationship. I tried to help and support you as an abused woman, based on the information you had shared at the time. I don't care who you're with or if you're with anyone, as long as you're safe. If you think that's judgment there's not much I can do about it.

I had a nice conversation with the maintenance supervisor yesterday about what working in that department is like, and what qualifications are needed to be a trainee.

Will you be able to attain those qualifications?

It sounds like I would be able to. It's not a high skilled position at all (most of that one is just a lot of manual labor and shadowing the techs), and I basically need to just past a knowledge test (which seems daunting because some of the available ones look hard for me to pass due to my dyscalculia, like they have super short time limits for math questions). I also would be going into the position with some knowledge of the machines and a lot of the tasks they have to do.

It seems like supervisor wants me to be a trainee, because he kept specifically emphasizing to me that none of the other guys besides for him and the oldest dude have even gone to school for anything. The techs just have experience, the current trainees had almost no experience when they started, and I would just need to past that knowledge test. I did mention that our manager probably wouldn't even look at my application if a position opened though, because she wants me to stay where I am, which is what definitely would happen, and he seemed disappointed.

I broke my rFactor mod.

Then I fixed it.

Now the different models of cars have their wheels in the proper place instead of some being out of place (too long or too short of wheelbase, the longest and shortest differ by ~17 cm, the average is 2.6 m).

Apparently it only accepts the entries in metres, not millimetres. If you enter it in millimetres the game goes berserk.

Good luck man!

We went to see the new housing development we hope to move to next year!

It was lovely to see but the weather was shite, and I was a bit overwhelmed with thinking of everything we have to do in the next year!

But apart from that, this is the first step to My New Life! Because I can't stay in this village any longer, or I'll go insane.
