Painting. :)

Gardening. Cooking. Camping. Burning things while camping, collecting rare and exotic diseases. The usual.

''Burning things while camping''. Sounds like there is a story or two there!?

Yeah, your art work i do know about, however i haven't yet interrogated you on your cooking... What do you like to cook?

I love to cook Indian, but unless i am doing it all the time can be a bit of an expense as there tends to be a lot of fresh ingredients involved..

Love Tiramisu and when i get the chance often make a large batch that i hide and a small batch for the flatmates as a decoy :)

Burnt eyebrow off last time went camping.
Slightly pyromanic.

I like Indian too.
I like cooking primally i.e. all from scratch on open flame.

Ahh yes., the burnt eye brows, hair and arm hair.. Very accustomed to such things! lol
Was also a bit of a pyromaniac as a kid.. Not in a bad way, just love flame.. Very hypnotic... I love to camp too. However i have got to the stage of life where a van has somewhat replaced my tent.. Just like a mattress too much Now :) But get out the tent now and again depending of locations... Lake Tarawera is a good trout fishing spot so head down there now and again and also has a private beach with natural hot pools that is only accessible by boat or several hours hike... Beautiful spot especially on a clear night and the stars are bright and the shooting stars are plenty :)

Love my red van..

My van overlooking our local mountain.

Yeah, its pretty cool. Especially when stopping for a break on the side of the road and have boot open as i watch all the cars passing putting on the breaks and slowing down because they think my van is a mobile speed radar

Yeah, there is something about the outdoors and camping that is a major destreser!

What type of plasma fire pit designs do you have in mind? As you mentioned that the other day.

None at present.
The Darth Vader one you posted may be a bit beyond my capabilities.

Its about your own creativity :)

Am sure you are rather modest when it comes to such things! :D

Lake Tarawera is a beautiful place, I am very fond of it too. 1Biggles1 are you aware of the eerie reported sighting of the "dogman waka" that the Maori Guide Sophia saw along with the group of tourists who were in the waka with her on the lake in the 19th century? It made international news at the time. There are many links on this on the net, this one is more concise:

My two favourite lakes are Tarawera and Waikerimoana. Both seem to have a special kind of mystical atmosphere, as well as great natural beauty.

I've never been out of Australia.
Tasmania doesn't count, I'm told.

Yes, will take my boat down there now and again... Its beautiful on a calm summers day during the week when there is no one about.. Sometimes having the lake to oneself.. Its like a sudden drain of stress, just being out there alone and absorbing the surroundings :)

No, wasn't aware of the story, just reading now :) ... Yes despite the beauty there is also a respectful eeriness about the lake.. Mind you that can be said for many places of historic background i visit, i always try to imagine the past history and picture what was there and what went on. Have not yet ventured to Waikerimoana as yet in any capacity .. Must put that on my bucket list :)

Mind you, Australia is a beautiful country! If/when visiting, where would you suggest?

As i am here, luckily blessed with dual nationality until they decide otherwise.
