Really? :) Not sure what V50 is like is but C30 is horrible, at least this coupe version. The clutch simply fell apart after only 30 000 km of driving. I've heard that XC90 has the same problem...Nissan rules :D

My clutch on my T5 only broke in after 320,000km! Perhaps if you have a diesel that's another story.

My 1st car was a Nissan. I'm inclined to half-agree. I do at least get amazing fuel economy.

^^Wowee! I've never seen a pigeon that big!

Great, Raleigh was online, but I wasn't [according to the time record it was at nearly 11:00 last night, Toronto time!], and now I'm online, but Raleigh isn't.

Well, here's the funny Boo stories.

Last night she was poised as if to pounce in the hallway, and I was in the kitchen, and I moved the curtain between the two over so that she couldn't see me, but she pounced anyway into the curtain--and completely missed my feet.

This morning I woke up to Boo jumping on my headboard, above me, and trying to knock one of my favourite crystals off. When I tried to get it away from her, she tried to love bite my hand. Karate reflexes do come in handy.

By the way, I'll be away from Sunday to Thursday, so if anyone wonders where I am, someone please direct them to Page 2131. :)

My cat reminds me quite frequently that I must stay tougher than small rodents.

It's taking quite a lot of eating & freakouts to maintain the peace.

Lol indeed it's a diesel  I hate that car, got it as an inheritance, and it almost got us killed, as the clutch stopped working in the middle of the driving lol.

What Nissan did you have? We have Nissan Quashkai.

I wouldn't mind a new yuke though, or even better, Nissan Murano. :D

Economy indeed! Especially Quashkai...yuke not so much, but I like his looks lol.

This looks so tasty:
Image
It's the Memory Lane Pastry from Final Fantasy XV. I'm going to make it.

Here's the recipe if anyone's interested [I'm going to use wildberry jam instead of actual berries, and gluten free flour, and no sugar.]

Introduction
Active cooking time: 2 hours
Total cooking time: 2 hrs 30 mins
Yields 12 pastries

Ingredients
To make stewed berries:
⅓ cup + 4 tsp sugar (80g)
8-9 strawberries (100g)
⅔ cup blueberries (100g)
⅔ cup blackberries (100g)
¾ cup raspberries (100g)
1. In a saucepan, cook sugar until it becomes a caramel. Add strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Stew lightly.
2. Add raspberries and continue to cook to desired consistency. Take care to keep most berries whole as to keep the pie crust flaky later on.
3. Add a splash of water as needed. Let cool on a strainer for a few hours.

To make pâte brisée (i.e. crust):
1.85 cups bread flour (250g)
1 cup butter (205g)
½ tsp salt (3g)
¼ cup ice water (55mL)
4. Cube the butter. Place the flour, salt, and cubed butter in a bowl. Chill in the refrigerator until everything is cool.
5. Cut the butter into flour with a paddle attachment (or by hand) until it resembles wet sand. Add water and knead until smooth. Shape into a disc. Wrap in plastic wrap and let wrest for a minimum of 1 hour.

To make banana custard:
6.3oz bananas (180g)
1 tbsp milk (15g)
2 tbsp cream (30g)
3 egg yolks (60g)
2.5 tbsp sugar (30g)
6. Mash the bananas until completely smooth. Combine with milk, cream, sugar, and egg yolks. Set aside.

Assembly:
12 cupcake molds
powdered sugar, as needed
7. Roll out dough to desired thickness, then line cupcake molds. Crimp the edges. Dock the dough with a fork or a toothpick. (Optional: chill before baking to prevent shrinkage)

8. Blind bake the crusts at 350°F (180°C) until very light brown (about 10 minutes). Lower oven to 320°F (160°C).

9. Fill the tarts halfway with stewed berries. Top with banana custard, being careful not to mix it with the berries.

10.Return to oven and bake until crust is golden brown and custard is set (about 15-20 minutes). Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.

11. You can also add whipped cream or chocolate sauce.

I remember a blog or magazine saying the Juke looks like a toad that swallowed a pear.
 If we got them in the states I would just want an older X-Trail but I may wind up buying a cheap Navarra-based Xterra.

Too bad we also never got manual XC90s, that would be an awesome ski car. Luckily the Automatic Volvo's in the U.S. are still pretty tough.

Uhhhh Navarra, that I like :D The bigger, the more rugged, the better :P

I don't get why you never got manual XC90s over there, that's a mystery for me.

Best of luck Rachey! :)

Maybe a little change can be good :)

What type of job is it?

I unfortunately feel you here! Have had the same experience in most people i have worked for despite on most occasions increasing the businesses profits quit dramatically...

Do and keep searching for those jobs that suit and compliment your high intellect.. Something where you feel at ease and not walking on egg shells... Who knows, maybe you can start your own business one day soon :)

lol sorry, multitasking does impinge on one's intelligibility. :P

Clarkson and the crew made fun of the Nissan Yuke, but I beg to disagree. Wouldn't mind Nissan Navarra either :D
