I heard that each year the president pardons two turkeys on Thanksgiving in the US.

The turkeys must be the only mericuuuns that Dump has actually saved from gun violence. Of course, it helps being a real turkey himself.

Yep, sparing a couple of birds from being eaten is such a bigger deal than the horrific genocide of Native Americans, among many other things.

the day of mass turkeycide, while people make jokes about their deaths and show zero remorse or concern for living conditions; yay?

Thanksgiving math:

We had Thanksgiving dinner at a local mid-century landmark hotel which we had re-visited fot he first time in several years.

The food was very-good, (just-right portions of food) - the atmosphere was quite funky, with the motif of holiday decorations.

Nice (livelier) change from the usual efforts of preparing, and serving food, as well as cleaning-up, doing dishes, and storing the (awkward to store) leftovers. We've learned long-ago to forget-about the ideal Norman Rockwell impression of Thanksgiving.

Nothing because no friends or family or job

One friend , that didn't contact me about Thanksgiving. She used to hang out with me twice a week. Now once every three weeks s**t

Family dead. One exception .

Amazon hired me for warehouse. Didn't go because someone articles claim that they have to do 120 boxes an hour



So whatever


Try as hard as I can to ignore Thanksgiving and all the other days and s**t

Me & my girlfriend did the Thanxgiving thing with her family on black friday since the buses didn't run on Thanxgiving. The bus drivers needed a day to deal with difficult family members instead of difficult passengers. Our Thanxgiving thing wasn't that much but it usually isn't with her family. My parents haven't done anything special that day since I moved away 7 years ago which may be 8 Thanxgivings ago now. My parents' brothers & sisters do things with their own kids & their kids' kids. My parents also find it's less hassle not to do anything that day & they're not as close to family as they used to be.
