I want to go back to the 60s, again, with my Kinks T-shirt on.

Now I want to return to 1910's pre-KMT and Communist Qing Dynasty. I want to man a large tea plantation in China...

Late 1970s-Early 1980s: Meet some bands that created the "New Wave" movement

Personally, I'd rather go to the future and see:

1.} I have a girlfriend and a job

2.} Myself 5, 10, 15 years older

3.} I have kids

4.} Myself as a published novelist

England, about the time of Isaac Newton. I would love to have a word or two with the Great Man.

The Cretaceous period, so I could see a T-Rex in the flesh.

Failing that, I'll take the 41st millennium, so I could become a tech-priest to the Machine-God of Mars. Augmetic eyes rock.

This is also the era of sweatshops...

But what is it in the 19th century that really attracts you?

A friend of mine who's in his very late teens feels the same way - his love of Victoriana extends to all matters (he is apparently looking to write a book about a steampunk Victorian society, from what he tells me).

Everyone knows going in the past screws up the Space Time Continuum! I'd go to the year 3000, to see if we really do end up living underwater
