They repel me, in a way. Store bought ones smell terrible and I don't like how the smoke gets in my hair and clothes. Hand rolled ones actually don't bother me very much, though, when the tobacco doesn't have a bunch of preservatives and junk in it. I couldn't live with a smoker and could never ever smoke myself, but at the same time, I'm completely uninterested in trying to help or support someone who's trying to quit. If they want to do it, it's their life. I don't wish the suffering on anyone, and the addiction seems an unfair edge to what for some people is an enjoyable stress reliever.

Er, no. I'm not an antismoker but I'm not especially in favour. If anything, I am pro-freedom on this issue.

I hate the fact that my parents smoke since I am so afraid for them, especially concerning lung cancer. :(
So another cigarette hater here.

Also second hand smoking isn't good for anyone of course.

Det jeg mente var passiv røyking, din elendige hvis betegnelse skal være unevnelig. Vi kan godt ta diskusjonen på norsk istedet. Jeg går ut fra at du hadde skrevet det feilfritt? Du er vel ikke for dum?

SHS/passive smoking does not exist.

And who speaks Norwegian apart from the Norwegians? ;)

What do you mean?

Person A smokes. Nearby is person B who a non-smoker, but happens to breathe in the smoke from person A's cigarette due to proximity.
How is that not SHS or passive smoking or whatever the correct term is in English?

I personally don't like it. If I had a girlfriend, I'd prefer a non-smoker easily.

However, people are free to do it on their own. Long as they have respect for the non-smokers. aka, no smoking in bars, restaurants, etc...

I hate too. Very very very very very very much. I avoid smokers as much as possible.

I hate cigarettes too but I don't avoid smokers. I just tell them not to smoke near me or if I'm in a public place, I just move away from whoever is smoking. I hate the cigarettes, not the people.
I have dreams about hating them too which is really weird. It's been happening ever since my mum quit smoking this year.

I hate cigarettes. Their smell, the effects, the stains; but not the people who use them. I don't feel hate. I will not however date a smoker, or allow smoking in my home.

I dislike smoke so much that if marijuana was legalized I still wouldn't smoke it, but I might eat it.

Honestly, I'd rather smell...ummm....(thinks of how to put it "appropriately")...things in my bathroom!! :P Seriously though, I can't STAND the smell of 'em. I'm a really picky eater, so to INHALE something that, IMO, smells even worse than everything I've tasted, is something I could NEVER bring myself to doing!!

Non-smoker here, and can't stand cigarettes.

I freaking hate cigarettes, and will never date a smoker.

Preferably, once I get my own place, it should be "no smoking allowed."

Cigarettes are the primary reason why walking down the street is a challenge for me. When I walk, the only thing my mind is on usually is avoiding the inhalation of smoke. I can't stand the smell, but it's EVERYWHERE!
