Their essays and their poetry are very distinct of their individual styles, and their journals / correspondence with Ellen Nussey in particular, would refute your author's claim. Not to mention the records of their time in Brussels with Héger.

I've read nearly everything credible in the English language about this family including all the biographies, criticism and literary histories.

If you say so I'm not the Bronte family specialist, I do admit, I'm a specialist in the field of the lives of Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft, though Also a minor specialist when it comes to the life of Truman Capote but not the Bronte sisters.

I haven't read King in a long time, but I must admit he's pretty good! My psychologist is obsessed with Capote and he talks about him all the time, but I don't retain any of it! Oh wait, my bad! It's not Truman Capote, it's Harry Truman he's obsessed with! (Lol, I'm such a poor listener when he's ranting about him that I forgot).

Speaking of the topic of this thread, I would like Ewa Białołęcka to write more Lengorchian wizards books - you don't know her because as far as I know, her books weren't published in English. It's my favourite Polish author. She writes fantasy books. Her novels' action takes place in Lengorchia. It's a land where children are sometimes born with magical abilities but often a high price is paid for the talents. It's a bit like in case of the X men. For example Kamyk (whose name means Peeble) is a "weaver of illusion" who can create illusions being able to lie to all senses... except for the sense of hearing because Kamyk is deaf. His talent caused his deafness an the same time. His best friend, Nocturnal Singer is all covered with fur. Another boy has deformed legs. Another character, Jagoda (whose talent manifests as ability to "hear" emotions of people even from very far distance) is an albino girl. Liść (his name means leaf in Polish) can do the same what Jagoda but he is autistic and he has to be taken care of all the time because he's very low functioning.

Wow. That's pretty magical! I don't read a lot of fantasy genre, but I'll try to think of some other candidates for the thread.

I don't know Mrs. Blume's novels (some of them indeed got translated into my language) but I won once an autographed copy of Eragon and an autographed one of the collection of poetry based on The Game of Thrones TV show (by some Polish author).

Kurt Vonnegut - After reading 'Timequake' - If Vonnegut wrote even one-more book (on the heels of 'Timequake') before his 2006 passing, the genre of postmodernism might have had a chance to gain greater (albeit limited) popularity.

Tobe Keiko. She wrote a nice comic about an autistic boy and the people involved in his life, but she died before she could finish it.

As for me, I'm disappointed that David Wallechinsky stopped writing Olympic Games books after 2012. I think he probably got sick of all the doping going on.
