Fads don't bother me. They are followed by large numbers of people who I don't care about and who don't influence my life, so why should I get my knickers in a twist over them?

This. Most fads don't annoy me because they don't change my life. People can listen to as much Justin Bieber as they liked, as long as they don't try to tell me about it.

Now, a fad which picked on people with unusually large, grey eyes, I would hate that, because that would make my life difficult.

Teenagers having babies is a trend I want to go away. Lots of teens think having a baby is cool. They think of a baby as a fashion accessory like carrying a poodle in a purse.
And then they show it off "Look at my baaaby!! !" Ugh.
Actually, I think to them it's like a pet. Not a real human being, but just a big attention-getting pet. One that their friends will oooh and aaahh over, and buy accessories for.
I'd seen one gush over how their two-year old little girl has a 'boyfriend' and will dress her up in little 'diva' clothes, and it sickened me.

Definitely agree on that one.

Expanding on that, parents I see are so inattentive over the needs of their children, I often wonder why people have kids in the first place. Not to mention parents act like their kids are not even there and speak often like their kids have the ability to understand.

-Teen pregnancy {Gee kids, how many times have you watched Juno?}

-Inattentive styles of parenting

I think Juno helped make the trend popular. They have Juno Halloween costumes that come with fake pregnant bellies :o I think lots of parents have kids so they can get get bigger welfare checks & if the kids have any kind of behavior problems; the kid can be put on meds at the express of the gov/taxpayer but the parents take the meds themselves or sell em instead of actually giving it to the kids. My mom teaches pre-K; I've heard lots of horror stories about the 13year-old crack whores getting pregnant to abuse the system

Fads don't affect me, I don't follow them, hardly notice any until they're almost out and I don't care who follows them...

video games based on kids movies

half-baked, totally unecessary movie sequels likely only made to make money

I agree. And the way wearing those things make people walk, it's looks like they crapped themselves and are trying to avoid squishing the turd between their legs. :?

You mean movies based on video games?

I hate movies like those.

Here to stay. Although I think the American high/low floor designs from New Flyer and NABI are better than the Euro low floor types from Van Hool.

There's lots of fads I want to see go the way of the dodo.

Parents who have embraced inattentive styles of parenting

Vintage-frame eyeglasses

People who smell like they don't shower/don't do laundry/chain-smoke/and the like

Earflap hats

I-Phones, I-Pads, and the like

Any product made by Apple - yes, it's shiny, but it's also a load of overpriced rubbish. It will fall to bits, but it will already be obsolete by then so you'll have to buy the new one anyway. Which is the same as the old one but with another random letter or number tagged onto the name.

Smartphones - do you really need to be able to see every comment made by every single person you have the slightest link to on every inane social networking site in real-time?

Facebook - see above
