snow is pretty and smells nice. but that is the only thing i like about it. ice is only good in cold drinks and no place else. having said this, snow beats the dickens out of extreme summer heat, if i had to choose one, i'd choose snow over broiling heat. both conditions give me cabin fever, as i won't go outside if it is above 80, same for if it is below 30.

I'll give auntblabby a new user name: howardhughes.

It looks nice to be off the grid. You've put your nose to the grindstone; saved up along with a pension. Can't be terrible as you have made the choice. If you had all of Howard's money, the choice would still be the same: isolation.

i wish i were off the grid. i am largely out of the rat race but i am still dependent on the grid to supply me with my vital needs. but if i were rich as howiebaby, i'd have a space suit i'd wear that would keep me warm in freezing cold, and keep me cool in broiling heat, and would pad my tuckas if i fell backwards and keep me from getting owies on any other part of my body. better living through technology.

I prefer king of the hill...though I suppose it might be a little bit dangerous for that, I put the hill a little bit too close to the driveway...

It's probably okay, though...

I normally dislike snow, ice, and cold weather, but the chill of the air on my skin is very refreshing, and although the brightness hurts my eyes, the combination of all these things is so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Cacoethes of the weather condition forces me to look at it. Perhaps that is one reason why I adore landscape paintings of snowy weather.
