I live in south Louisianan & it's usually very hot & humid here. I have a form of skin eczema(Atopic Dermatitis) & heat & humidity dry out my skin. Mom b!tches if I lower the AC below 77 & my room is the warmest part of the house

My body only likes a very narrow band of temperature. If I sit down in a room after only ten minutes of light physical work (like even walking), or after one cup of hot coffee (and of course coffee and tea should be drunken real hot), then I typically have to wear one layer of clothing less than everybody else in the room. But just 3-5 minutes later I'll start to freeze and have to take on my sweater again.

I prefer it really cold in the nights tho, helps me to sleep well.

Definitely prefer cold weather by a landslide. I can wear shorts and T-shirt during blizzards without feeling the need to wear a coat. During the heat surges during summer, I sweat easily and get nasty headaches from dehydration. So I prefer to stay indoors during this period.

However, I shower with hot water and seem to enjoy it over cold water. I do not know why, but I do not see it as an issue to worry about.

I prefer Cold and should have really considered that before I moved to Florida.

I remember driving to and from work in a crappy little Ford Escort and it's heater was broken. Technically, the heat worked but for some reason exhaust fumes poured into the car when you opened the vents, so I couldn't run the heat. This also meant I could not run the defrost for the windshield. So I drove to and from work every day, in a suit with heels, hanging out the window with a scraper. By the time I'd get home, I couldn't feel my feet. The first thing I'd do is run into the house and jump in a hot shower to warm up! What's really sick about this story is that I consider it a GOOD memory! LOL

With practical thinking, if it's too cold, you can just put more clothes on or have an excuse to snuggle up to someone. If it's too hot, you can only take off so many clothes before you're out of options. People think you're crazy if you light a fire in a fireplace when it's 90 degrees outside. I love fireplace fires.

I also prefer overcast days to sunny ones, windy days to still ones, and rainy days to clear ones. The only time I really appreciate a clear sky is on a crisp Autumn night at a bonfire, so amidst the beautiful sites and smells you can look up and see all the stars.

My husband, on the other hand, prefers Hot. He could wear 50 pounds of gear in a 400 degree fire on a 100 degree day and love it.

Me and my Aspie daughter prefer hot temperatures. We do not even sweat. My Aspie husband calls us "twins from hell". He hates heat. He sweats a lot! He feels more comfortable in cold weather. Cold weather is Ok by me, but my little girl cannot stand cold. She also dislikes hot meals.

That's interesting. I actually much prefer my meals warm than hot. And on the tea issue, I prefer iced tea but if I make it myself I'll usually wait until it's warm(around 95ºF or so.)

I find really weird how people can enjoy hot meals. I also dislike hot meals. I get my tongue burned easily and that's very uncomfortable. But my daughter is even more sensitive to heat than I am. She will wait until the meal is warm -even cold- to eat it. She does not like hot beverages, either. She will also wait until they are warm or cold.

I love the cold, I want to move up north where it can get really cold. * Lives in Texas * I once stood in 20 F weather in nothing but a T-shirt and jeans. It's annoying too, because as soon as it gets 50 F or colder everybody in town starts complaining about how cold it is, except me.

I prefer cold to hot anyday. I can actaully tollerate 10 below better than I can 85 degrees. When it is cold, you can always put on more clothes, but when it is hot...you cant legally take enough clothes off. I have sun sencitivities so heat plus sun makes me very very tired and feeling sick. But a brisk jolt of cold air feels daring.
