Yes, there is a tiny island just this side of Greenland (Denmark's jurisdiction) where we've been ripping off each others' flags

I wonder why they say "A" a lot when they speak. Something I noticed from my numerous visits to the
Adirondacks. Lots of Canadian tourists in Adirondack Park.

I and my daughter visited this temple in 1998. My daughter, then 15 yrs old, was showing an interest in Buddhism. This temple just happened to be next to the hotel we were staying at in Niagra Falls, Ontario. We walked over and Shan Kwang was very gracious, sat with us for an hour or so, answering our questions about Buddhism.

The thing I like best about Canada is that we aren't warm all the time. Summer may be brutal, but at least I can look forward to winter. I can't for the life of me fathom what it would be like living in a place like, say, Brisbane, or Miami, or Maracaibo.

Yeah I'm gonna have to split with peoples opinion on this, it may be a fluke but I've known a few canadians in person and they weren't what I'd call nice people.

But yeah universal healthcare is pretty cool, wish they had it here.

I went to school in Miami, which was great, but I would always say how I wouldn't want to live there. Winter is a nice break some times. Of course, in the middle of winter, you start to want to go back to Miami, but...it's a vicious cycle.

I want to add to my list:

Barenaked Ladies (of both varieties)

My dad's mother was Canadian. Reportedly, she was the foxiest babe in Godrich, Onterio in the year 1897.

Saint Joseph's Oratory in Montreal. I was there and stayed at the rectory with my daughter in 1998. We attended an organ concert and went to a mass for the sick and dying. I would love to return.
