It means I'm interested in the way sound works. I'm also a complete synth-freak. I'm buying a Yamaha DX7 soon.

It's latin "quasi" written with a v instead of u (both since the romans did not have a "u" letter but used "v" and because it's usually available everywhere [except on polish wikipedia for some reason]). "Quasi" means "almost" or "fake" etc., like in "quasi intellectual" and "Quasimodo" (The Hunchback of Notre-Dame).

I like the sound of it, but you could also say it describes how well i fit in anywhere.

I pronounce it "k-v-ah-s-ee"; just as the Norwegian word "kvasi" (the Norwegian spelling of "quasi"), since I'm Norwegian ;)

valentine michael smith from stranger in a strange land. i picked it because he would be diagnosed as an autie were he not literally from the wrong planet. i dont think i would repick the same user name as the deeper i got into the book the more intolerable the blatant sexism and homophobia became. the racism too. it tainted what otherwise was an ok book and made it harder to identify with the characters including vm smith.

My sister wrote a little ditty about me that had the line, 'she's like a mouse, one I've never seen before'.

I sang this once to my boyfriend when I was in the pub, eating a sticky toffee pudding.

It stuck to me.

That I am particularly bad at choosing usernames for myself. And I suspect I opted for the most boring of those possible.

I couldn't think of a clever name so I based it off of my favorite band, Katatonia. I also used to get into a catatonic like state when I was younger while listening to their music inebriated. And the first letter of my first name starts with a K.

My love for The Stig didn't come until a year ago so.........now I wish it was TheStig but...what can ya do?

I also thought about using my old online alias w00kienipplez but decided not to because I'd used it for so long. I finally put it into retirement a year ago and have since taken over A1m4thaH3D.

I hate Katatonic now but oh well.

There are significant blindspots in my social intuition and perception - and my IQ is 149 (all of which I need to regularly use just to make it through the day!)

(offtopic)Surely you can find a reasonable DX7 emulator? There were only 32 oscillator maps you could configure if I remember correctly. And given its fame, someone probably has a software synth of it.

I distinctly remember the non-rackmount DX7's keyboard as extremely irritating. (/offtopic)

A MIMO!

I always assumed it was an orgasm generated by spazz attacks.

Also-not to pry, but do you really live in Istanbul?

It is nonsense designed to fool people who look for deep meaning in usernames.
