I google earthed my way down University Ave in downtown East Palo Alto
it doesn't look so bad, but it can be a frightening ordeal since the street (and Bay Rd) are territorial dividers, quartering up EPA amongst several powerful gangs. I sat through a kava procession one night in someone's garage, you saw some scary @$$ niggahs come and go, there were AK's under the rugs, some of the elderly gentleman in the room were on crack to help them stay awake, and the worse part of it all was the gunfights you could hear a few blocks away, and specifically the non-reaction of everyone at the faikava to it. I guess it is normal, but I would still be scared if I lived there of bullets accidentally flying through the walls from gunfights between local gangs or individuals. Then again, it was the same at the many faikava's I've visited in Salt Lake City, but far less gunshots.
