I've met a few Canadians and none of them ever said "eh" or pronounced "out" as "oot", but I have some Canadian neighbors who moved in about 5 months ago, and they couldn't be anymore stereotypical. They say "eh" after just about every sentence. They say they're from north Saskatchewan (I would never would have thought anyone lived there), and I was wondering if that might have something to do with it.

Ya, I'll say there eh :P

Canadians are pleasant, polite, tolerant and peaceable.

But, as requested by the original question, that's no more than a mere stereotype.

I was at that Weird Al concert! (it was filmed in Toronto)

One Canadian stereotype that does not apply to me is a perceived love of hockey. I'm a much bigger fan of soccer than hockey and I get really annoyed how to media shoves this perceived hockey love down my throat.

While we have given our name to bacon that features meat, you will find that most of us readily consume the streaky variety.

There's that despicable notion, present if one watches certain American shows, that Canada is a racially monolithic country. There's also a lot of ignorance about the fact that First Nations people reside (and have resided for thousands of years) in Canada.
