What's the spookiest thing you've ever seen?
Let me first state that the belief in the paranormal, or the disbelief in the paranormal, is a matter of opinion. At one time ball lightning was something so misunderstood that it was in the realm of the paranormal. Now it is an accepted part of weather science. Many of the modern devices we have today would have been seen as witchcraft in the eyes of people years ago. I do believe that there are things today that exist that are unexplained by science. And one day they may be explained by science. But I want to point out that just because science can't explain something, it shouldn't mean that it doesn't exist.
I wanted to test out something last June. I ran across a medium online who was pronounced as one the best mediums in the world. So I put him to the test. I scheduled a telephone appointment for thirty minutes. It was requested by the lady who scheduled the appointment to not give any information about the deceased person I was trying to contact. In fact, the medium had no idea who I was trying to contact when I called him at my designated appointment time.
I selected a young man who had been involved in a police chase. He led officers on a lengthy chase that led to him wrecking a car and barricading himself on a porch of a house. He yelled at the police calling them "coppers" and that they would never take him alive. He fired a gun at them, and was killed by being shot in the neck more than once by an officer of the law.
The tragedy of this case is that the young man had been a model student in school, and had gotten in trouble for skipping one day of school. His mother was furious at him. He got mad, and she got scared and called the cops. He got scared and fled in her car after taking his father's gun with him. He panicked. He was standing behind a porch chair when he was shot. One shot to the neck (a difficult target to hit) would have been sufficient. But the coroner's report said he had 4 wounds to the neck. That always bothered me.
So, I wanted to see what this medium had to say.
The medium told me these things about this young man:
He had red hair----------he did have reddish hair
He had a smart mouth that got him into trouble----------he yelled at the cops which escalated the conflict
He had two sisters---------he did have two sisters
He lived next to a cemetery----------he did live next to a cemetery
He had a shortness of air that caused him to grow fuzzy headed----------his fatal wounds to the neck would cause this
And there were more things that were accurate. But the medium insisted that there was foul play on the part of the cops in this incident and that I should pursue an investigation with his family. Well...I haven't done that. But I have made contact with his sister online, but I haven't had the courage to pursue discussing him.
Now...something spooky I saw:
Ghost lights at a cemetery known to be haunted---I, along with 2 other witnesses, observed three orbs of light moving about one another on a deserted lane leading to the cemetery. We approached the lights, but they vanished as we got to them. The headlights of our car revealed nothing but an empty lane.
Please note that ghost lights are not a unique phenomenon. They are regularly observed at such places as Marfa, Texas and Brown Mountain, North Carolina. Someday they may be understood and join ball lightning as a phenomena once thought of as paranormal but now scientific.

Around two years ago, I was helping a friend of mine with a paper route in a rural part of West Georgia. One night around 2-3 AM, we were on a road coming from houses on a lake, when without warning, a flash of white light passed right in front of my friend's car. I only saw said light for about 3 seconds, but there was no physical source of light anywhere outside of the car.

That's really fascinating and so tragic. But I want to point out that just because science can't explain something, it shouldn't mean that it doesn't exist. Someday they may be understood and join ball lightning as a phenomena once thought of as paranormal but now scientific. I completely agree and hope so..
