Buy two laundry baskets. When you put on your night clothes at the end of the day, put your clothes in one basket and your underwear in the other basket. Put your night clothes in the basket with your underwear in the morning when you dress. When a basket fills up, wash the clothes. Then make sure you put them away.

Wash and change your bed linens once a week also. Wash your bedspread/comforter once a month. Wash the curtains in your room four times a year, I do mine when the seasons change.

If things need to be ironed, do it before you hang them up in the closet, unless your closet is very cramped which will wrinkle the clothes. In that case, iron them the night before you plan to wear them.

As for proving it to your parents, you do not have to do that. You are over 18 and you won't be in their home, so it's really not their business unless you plan on showing up with months worth of dirty laundry for your mother to do. If they don't believe you when you tell them that you are washing clothes, don't worry about it. You know what you are or aren't doing, even if they don't.

Um, so....
*I never wash my bed sheets unless they are dirty because NOBODY is allowed on my bed aside from me, and I don't care if I sleep in my own filth, it's comfy.
*I don't want to spend money on washing period, but I will spend a minimal amount because apparently I have to...so I'd be at the VERY least washing every 2 weeks.
*I don't iron things
*They are paying for my housing :|
*I don't show up like that, but I wait a month to do it...or more 8O

Even if you don't notice it, you sweat at night sometimes, and also skin oils get on your sheets. Also, dead skin flakes off and gets on them. Sheets are dirty at the end of the week after being on the bed for seven days. No, you might not be able to see it, but you can smell it. Unless you get up and shower every morning, the smell will cling to you.

Why wouldn't you want to spend your money on washing, period? It's something that must be done, unless you want to walk around dirty.

It takes an hour at most to do a load of wash and put it away. It's also not that much money when you compare the inconvenience of being dirty to the small cost of using a washer.

Eh, I can shower every day once I get into a routine.

Because....it's money down the drain. All I have is my savings right now. I suck at getting a job so far....so I have to manage my money wisely. Plus, I am irrational...so I don't like spending money on things that disappear. I don't like spending it on food either.

Ha. Ha. Ha....how about at least 2 hours.

Since I've gone to university I've learned to LOATHE doing laundry. It's expensive and I have to make sure to be there when the cycle stops so my stuff don't get nicked haha. I have little space and I don't have alot of clothes so I do around 2 washes at least a week.
