This is an HO scale (1/87) Victorian mansion designed and built by Howard Zane (master craftsman of railroad models). His one-of-a-kind models are generally reserved for museums and have been featured in magazines, books, and videos. I have been fortunate to purchase two of his houses. This is one of them. I am as thrilled by this model today as I was when I bought it. I am using it as a setting for a novel I am writing. I have not told my wife how much I paid for these models

These days it requires a civil engineer to approve a 3 story design due to foundation loads. The home builder credentials don't suffice in these instances.
It'd be interesting to see if the real McCoy 'stood up' back in the day.
