And sometimes, it's scary and makes one sad to see lively, joyful high schoolers you knew of who've turned into completely dead-eyed adults.

You're right. Sorry man; but for the slight bags under the eyes and the protuding Adam's apple, I'd feel obligated to card you if I worked in a convenience store and you tried to buy smokes off of me.

I guess specifically I am asking, has anyone actually shunned you about it?

Hell yes. I think it is worse because I am a girl. It is also bad for my boyfriend because he looks older then his age so i have gotten weird looks for it and been asked intrusive questions. :? The assume he must have money ect. It is also embarrassing when people assume my kids are my siblings because i look too young to have a nearly 5 year old so the other parents shun me.

Also how am i meant to dress? my age or how old i look? It is all very confusing.

Not yet, but I think the "guess your age" guy at the state fair was pretty miffed with me. He was supposed to guess your age no farther away then a year or so. I was 18 and he guessed me at 12 or 13. At least the crowd got a good laugh. And I got a goofy prize. :thumright:

I know I should really hate you for that comment, but your last sentence really made me laugh the freaking s**t out of myself.

You look like a guy i know in his 30's. He is my boyfriend's ex house mate.

I have a theory. We all look younger because we are all gamers who spend our time in dark rooms like vampires so that we don't get sunburnt and our skin doesn't age. 8)

Yes, for many, many years, mostly women have turned their noses up to me at various social events, especially new settings and people.
The fact that I am tall, thin and toned and haven't gone grey seems to bring out the worst in women!

I hadn't thought about how women might react to one another about it.

I work online, shop online, and socialize online, so most of the people I interact with don't even know what I look like. :)

On the occassions I need to buy things in person, I've learned not to bring anyone along with me if I want to be dealt with directly, because whoever I'm buying from will assume the other person is buying it for me, since I'm obviously "too young". I got fed up with a lot of real estate agents before figuring this out.
