I wouldn't mind you being here either, and also catmount would be free to join as well. We would have hockey watching parties when the season comes around. 8) * along with everyone else who commented in the NHL Season topic *

£1.75 (around US$2.80) for the 500ml bottle.

This is why I need to move to the other side of the Atlantic -- far better beer selection, it seems.

Went to a liquor store earlier, and the selection consisted of the same domestic stock everyone else carries. We have Pabst Blue Ribbon here, but I think I'd rather drink contaminated water. :eew:

Not especially - ASDA carries the same 30-35 bottled ales that they sell all the time. Managed to pick up two bottles of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale though. And Aldi have started selling 500ml bottles of Theakston's Old Peculier (5.6%) for £1.49 - around US$2.40 - each. I'll have to put some in the fridge now - thanks for reminding me!

So you don't have the regionally produced ales from microbreweries then?

You won't believe me, but I've actually had Pabst Blue Ribbon! I bought an imported bottle of the stuff of a UK specialist beer website!

My photo taken at the time:

It's an extremely basic and tasteless lager but at least it is not actively unpleasant as quite a few UK produced lagers are.

I don't want to have a beer with you anyway. I especially won't buy you a pint if I see you. ;)

I'd buy you a pint of stout, but not a beer.

Stout is beer.

I'll have a pint of Guinness Foreign Extra (Nigeria) (7.5%) if you're buying. :)

Ok, I guess I'm stuck in my barbed cardboard box.

And I don't drink beer.
