Everyone knows that primitive man made paintings on cave walls. Most people believe that the subjects of these paintings are restricted to wild animals. However, the vast majority depict a primitive form of the Routemaster.

On the seventh day, God created routemasters.

Actually, on the first day, God debarked from a Routemaster.

Randall Flagg wasn't really killed by Mordred Deschain. He was killed by a speeding Routemaster.

Going up to the Bus in the Sky
That's where I'm gonna go, when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest
I'm going up to the Bus that's the best

After reading this Wikipedia write-up, I too feel a twinge of sadness in seeing the passing of an era in the transportation industry.

I love the Routemaster because it's the only vehicle that I know of that you can board while it's moving.

Tell that to the third-grader whose bike I just stole.

Three weeks ago, I've dreampt that I was inside of a house, in Heaven. Everything around me was some type of Electric Blue. I was looking up, and I saw the Soul of a Routemaster against a bright, eternal light.

cockney, today as i was thinking of how much you love the routies, while on the road i seen the new international body style. and low and behold there was a school bus at the intersection that had the new international body styling appeared to be smiling!! !

the curvature of the lower bumper, and the pointing of nose end downward and narrow gave it the face look,

the new international is on the 2006 school bus body style. some people say they are ugly but they are kinda cute with the grinning bumper.

I went shopping on Saturday and guess what Marks and Spencer have on their windows? Giant posters of Routemasters! :D They're running a TV ad here at the moment using a London theme, and the models are wearing M&S clothes while riding an open-topped bus. I think it's a routie, not sure, but the posters definitely are.
All hail the Routie!

The Bobbies made a big come back. I wonder if the same thing will happen with the Routemaster, a short while after Red Ken is kicked out of office?
