A very crazy time in our history, indeed.

My favorite parts of the 90s were Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and Cartoon Network.

Netflix has ordered a reboot of the popular 90s series The Magic School Bus, which will be called The Magic School Bus 360.

I was only born in 1996 so I don't remember very much from the 90s except for watching Pingu and playing games on the computer.

Do you remember Coca-Cola's answer to Mountain Dew, Surge? Well, I am not joking about this, but it's back! And it's only available through the internet.

http://www.amazon.com/Surge-12-16-FL-Cans/dp/B00M2OGS08 - Sales have gone through the roof! Good luck trying to find a pack of cans....

What I have here, is the "Always Coca-Cola" song, full-length, from 1993. This brings back great memories here. :D

Well this makes me feel old. I was born in 1974, so I remember a lot of stuff from the 80's as a kid. Of course I remember a lot of the 90's as well, but maybe not with the nostalgia filter on as high as "90's kids". I remember the media sensationalism of OJ Simpson and Y2K and how we were all supposed to be living in fear because everything with a microchip would go spastic. And yet I saw cute little plushies of the bug that was supposed to doom the world, along with all kinds of cheesy New Year's junk even though it technically wouldn't be the 21st century until 2001. I remember how awful Saturday Night Live had gotten when I was finally able to stay up late watching it. The new writers thought that rape and overly graphic gross-out humor were funny and everything was about OJ Simpson or the Clinton Scandal. But animation had made a real comeback, both on TV and movies. Disney had new masterpieces like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, and Saturday cartoons started being actually funny and entertaining. The Simpsons ruled prime-time and soon was on almost every channel. And my new special interest was Troll Dolls. I couldn't figure out the popularity of Seinfeld or Friends, but I loved The Drew Cary show, and Mimi's love of Troll Dolls inspired me to dress like her for a Halloween Party, complete with the bright blue eye shadow. I couldn't figure out why people were now willing to spend hundreds of dollars on Beanie Babies when trolls were what really ruled. I still have a few of them, and even some of the recent "Zelf" dolls, which are really just a clone of trolls. :)

I remember the very end of it, I was born in 94 and have some memory of 98 onward, it was just an okay decade from the little I saw at the end, no better or worse than the 00's and the current decade. Might have been better if I'd been old enough to appreciate the more teenage elements of the decade. VHS was on fire at that time though and disney was still making good movies, they were in their renaissance actually I believe. :) I wont dis on the 00's though, because the LOTR trilogy came out and the first half wasn't terrible for me.

And yes I do remember Surge

I don't know whether it's memories of people a child that I liked about the 90s, or the 90s themselves. I wasn't too focused on world events.

VHS and cassette ruled the media market. I'm told I watched Disney VHSs religiously.
One of my friends had a Gameboy.
Dial-up, single line internet.
DOS games.
Dinosaurs seemed to be the big thing (at least for me).
There was a solar eclipse, and I had the official cardboard glasses. It was cloudy, of course.
Nylon cardigans (which I was not please about).
Bikes were the thing. If you wanted to play with a friend, you biked to to house or checked the local park.
Tiny screened (in comparison to today) CRT TVs.

But that's what I remember from suburban 90s England.

First Generation Pokemon, which was also the only generation for me, because when I was 6 my parents banned pokemon. Ugh, why, we had so many first gen trading cards and Pokemon Yellow. I think I still have our old Gameboy color's stashed away somewhere.
