I can't even stand the smell of beer, let alone the taste. :eew:

Does it smell like vomit to you as well?

Yeah, something like that. It's not good.

Here's why the Irish call that a half-and-half:

And don't get me started on that drink called a "car bomb" ... :|

The smell gets dimmed if lemon or lime is added to the beer itself and the taste isn't so bad.

But memories of smelling my stepdad's beers over the years just makes me gag and that's why I avoid it like the plague. I prefer my 'girly' drinks. :)

Drink through it. After about 12 beers you won't care what it tastes like anymore

I don't like beer either. If I want to turn into jelly I just drink 2-3 shots of vodka.

Better than sipping on that gross beer. Vegemite tastes good though, kinda like beer paste you spread on buttered toast. Foreigners don't know what they're missing out on.

Why drink so many beers when you could have little bit of the stronger stuff for the same effect?

I prefer beer over "hardstuff" on festivals. You easily forget how much you already drank, and while you can easily drink too much wodka, drinking too much beer is simply limited by the amount of fluid you can in general deal with. So it keeps you on a good level, without you being forced to memorize how much you already drunk.

Do not use Flonase/Fluticasone nasal spray(it's uses for sinuses & allergies) because it has a strong alcohol smell that's kind of like beer. I don't notice it when I put it in my nose but my girlfriend does & I notice if I sniff it without putting it in my nose. I never noticed beer smelling like vomit thou but I haven't smelled vomit much which I'm very thankful for.

Double posting is a bit of a no-no but have to do it on this occasion. The Groovy Rednecks are great! I have been introduced to a whole new band of really great music. For those who don't like beer, listen to this. It will give you a new perspective. Well at least I think so.

Glad you like em. I have all 4 of their CDs(if there's more I don't know about em or where to get em). Their CDs are pretty expensive on eBay & physical CDs can be on Amazon too I kept watching & got em when there actually was a cheap listing(cheaper than what the downloads cost after shipping); 3 were used but CDs are great quality & I just ripped them on computer anyways. Amazon is the chepatest price I've seen for their downloads at $8.99. I only found one CD on file-sharing sites & programs & it wasn't the best quality but that's how I 1st heard of em; stumbled across it & song tittles & band name sounded like it may be funny.

Has anybody used beer for cooking purposes?

I have.

That also reminds me of all night bonfires/parties at my uncles' house when I was younger.
Every time, at around 3 in the morning, he would come out to the fire with a pan and load it full of eggs, potatoes, deer sausage, and bacon. He would dump beer in it occasionally to keep it from sticking to the pan.

There's nothing like sitting around a fire, eating beer soaked breakfast and looking out across the pond with family and good friends
