I'm just wondering if there's such a thing as an "in crowd" now. If there's the unpopular, there's got to be some popular people.

Forgot to say hi to your pet dove aussiebloke. Coo, coo.

There is no clique of folks who ostracize others.

But inevitably some folks are going to more popular than others in any group.

Sadly-some feel left out- so left out- that it LOOKS to them like there is an 'In-crowd' that you need a secret knock on the door to get into.

But frankly- its also kinda amusing: to see people who are oddballs, and misfits IRL come to WP- and then get accused of being "golden people" by other WPers.

I guess in the kingdom of the blind (socially impaired) the one eyed people (less social inept) are the kings.

I say it has to do with what TallyMan said. There exists groups of people who like to talk among each other, because they are similar, but I don't think any of those groups can be called an "in crowd"

Seriously, Smudge. I am part of no "In Crowd."

I'm hardly in a crowd at all.

I'm just sat here on my own with my computer, typing short messages on a forum.

I expect everybody else is doing a similar thing.

That made me laugh so much babybird. So, so, true.

Well to be perfectly honest Smudge. I don't think I'm alone in hoping that people do accept me for who/what I am on WP. I would like to think that I am important to some people, as there are certain people around here who are important to me.

^ This
any way i thought we aspies tended to avoid crowds :)

There's also a different crowd in every forum on the board; I'm part of the PPR crowd and am fairly well known in that forum, for example, but am rarely seen in Art, General Autism, Comorbids, etc, and wouldn't expect the regulars in those forums to know me from Adam.
