^^That's yet another reason why I don't particularly care for the English language...

True....but it did evolve into meaning a poor white person over time. An overseer on a plantation could be a cracker, but the white guy who owned the mansion was not a cracker.

It's a strong term of disrespect, saying, in essence, you're no better than me, despite the fact that you are white!

Now....on to more entertaining stuff: Imagine having cheese and cookies, instead of cheese and crackers?

I'm with Kuraudo, if it goes well with milk it's a cookie (this would include Animal crackers, and graham crackers).

So, a piece of cake is a cookie? How about a chocolate bar? Both are clearly not cookies...

and what else floats in water?

No no, this method is just for determining whether it's a cookie or a cracker (as developed by Kuraudo). :)

The last part of your comment confuses me....
Boats float in water, leaves float, pumpkins float; A lot of things float in water.

^Ducks float, too. Have you ever had a duck and a glass of milk?

I think I actually might have had duck and a glass of milk when I was a kid.

Nope LOL....I just had duck and a glass of milk with it. Never dunked it.

I see what you mean, though. One cannot dunk a cracker in milk, and have it taste good. Only a cookie.

Haha, okay I gotcha.
Did you let the duck have a taste of your milk?
You know what's highly disturbing? The reproductive process of ducks.

I wish the duck could have partook of my milk.

But he/she was in Heaven at the time of my meal.

Well okay, I guess graham and animal crackers are the exception to the rule of crackers being a savory food. There's an exception to just about every rule. Like always keeping your promises, but what if someone makes you promise not to tell anyone they're being abused or doing drugs or have an eating disorder?

Also if you put PB and jam on a cracker, it becomes sweet. Since crackers are usually bland you can put a variety of toppings on them.

Anyway, this is possibly one of weirdest little conversations I've had on WP. :)

I bet cream cheese would be good with some cookies -- maybe animal crackers. I think it would be kind of like cheesecake, but crunchy.

When I was a kid I would sometimes put slices of real cheddar cheese on graham crackers and thought it was pretty good.

Animal crackers are glorified cookies.
