CR - Could you get a telephone customer service job that lets you work from home? Many of those require some training up-front in their office, but after that you only have to check in once a week or once a month. At the moment, it seems to be picking up popularity with mothers with young kids (for obvious reasons). It seems like something like that would be a good fit for you - no coworkers to annoy you and if you happen to have your problem, no one would need to know. I think you aught to run that by your employment advisor at your clubhouse.

Just as an aside, I was thinking about dream jobs the other day. For some reason, I thought about you - what a good dreamjob would be - and I pictured you as a curator in a British transportation history museum (if such a thing exists).

My phobia:

I am violently allergic - anaphylactic - to wasp and bee stings. Accordingly, I start to scream and cry like a little child when they are around.

My biggest fear is choking, but I'm also scared of vomiting, heights and bees.

My parents or my brother dying.

Aside from that, heights and revolving doors.

Revolving doors! Why do they even exist?! To torment me! I am always so afraid of getting crushed in them, that I always go through the side door for wheelchairs when possible.

Revolving doors confuse me. We have some at uni but they don't revolve themselves, you have to push it. The ones that do it automatically or bad though because I can never judge when is a good time to get it without getting squashed. :P

I once worked at a place that had one of those revolving doors that kept going round and round automatically. One day, a dog walked in - he got so confused and stressed out by the door that he lied down and the door's sensors stopped it from revolving. A couple of security guards walked up to the dog, and he started showing teeth and growling. They weren't sure what to do, so I decided to go over there to try to ge him out. I crawled up close to the dog on my hands & knees, let him sniff my hand, and pet him. After he started wagging his tail a little, I picked him up and carried him into the security office. He had a tag on him, so we called his owner to come and get him. The security guard had me stay there the whole time until the owner came, because they were afraid that the dog would get agitated if I left.

Anyway, that's my story about fear of revolving doors... except I wasn't bothered by the door, the dog was.

*Automatic* revolving doors? Will the madness never cease?! I've never been confronted with one of those, thank goodness, just the manual kind. The only way I can get through a revolving door is to go through by myself, at a snail-like pace. That means that if there is a crowd, I totally freeze. I don't know how people can go through so rapidly like that.
