The autumns are gorgeous in New England.

I'm sure you are right !

I've seen many pictures, I LOVE the colours, the fallen leaves...

Can someone put me up ?

Sorry- I went to Williams College, which is in the Berkshires in western Mass (the most beautiful part), but I'm in grad school at Penn State now, and the autumns are totally disappointing there. Williams was incredibly beautiful in the fall, being surrounded by the tree-covered mountains. The mountains would be red and orange, and so would the ivy on the buildings. Some of the trees looked like they were on fire, they were that red.

One day in the fall, we would have Mountain Day, where classes would be cancelled and everyone would climb up the mountain to have cider and donuts and festivities. The air was crisp and refreshing, and the view was spectacular.

Have you heard of Mike D'Antoni? During a basketball game I watched last night the commentators were talking about how he is a b-ball legend in Italy, but I'm not sure how many people follow basketball over there.

Yeah, Mike D'Antoni was a star here, playing and winning so many titles with Milan. He is probably the best playmaker in the history of Italian League. Then he also won some titles as a coach, playing the same up-tempo style as PHX. (BTW, I answered your post about PHX-SAN)

Our main sport is soccer  ... but b.ball is on the rise, followed by a more qualified audience. i LOVE B.ball ! !! BTW, the team of my city has finished the regular season in 1st place and tomorrow the playoffs begin ! !! !! I'm so excited (slightly off topic...)

Too cool!! !! ! I never really got interested in soccer... enough to buy a ball, but not enough to watch it (for more than a couple minutes) or to play in a league, i always liked playing b-ball (but didn't play in a league unfortunately, i always thought I was too short... I am, but I should have played anyways). I wish I was in better shape now, I play with younger guys in my apartment complex and regularly fool them with nash-like passes  just makes me feel like a jerk, though.

I really just (re-)started following basketball after last years playoffs, and I love nash and barbosa. I was always the 'fast guy' when I played as a kid, never realized how good I could be if had I tried to draw the defense in and dish out. The whole phx team is fantastic though, and I'm in the process of watching the golden state game from last night (the warriors are crazy, but amazing! I don't like nowitzki too much...I think I enjoyed watching dallas be eliminated too much... I'd like to see the same for the 'dirty' spurs, and the jazz!)

tough question - an unboring version of Switzerland? A safe version of Mexico City, and with jobs? I wouldn't mind Edinburgh, UK or NYC. With lots of money, somewhere in French or italian-speaking Switzerland, as it would be very easy to travel throughout Europe from there (and with money, it's very easy to get residency).
Generally, somehere with temperate climate, safe, with art museums, tolerant, cosmopolitan. Somewhere where I speak the language or at least the language is easy to learn. The culture would be important, but i can only speak of countries I've lived in really.

What is Switzerland like politically?

I think they have a 'live and let live' attitude generally (at least that was my experience in Geneva) but can be very conservative in rural areas (there are villages where women can't vote in local elections, for example). probably other major cities (which are pretty cosmopolitan) are fine, but I wouldn't want to live in a Swiss village.
They have a very complicated political system, almost everything is decided at a very local level.

I wouldn't want to live in most of the country. Too rough these days.
